1. DUMUNPALIT ISLAND, CORON PALAWAN

One of the best islands that we have ever seen. It’s almost not getting tourists yet that’s why we include as first one of the list best beaches in the Philippines. You have to go to Maricaban port by motorbike, tricycle or van.

From there you can get a boat 1 hour and 30 minutes to Dumunpalit Island. The boat costs 3000 PHP and the entrance fee is 200 PHP per person. The water is so clear and you can stay overnight if you are bringing a tent.

2. ALONA BEACH, PANGLAO

Alona Beach is very busy during the day with people sunbathing, swimming, and boats conducting tours and activities. It’s not really a bad thing, because it makes the place come alive especially with various restaurants catering every tourist’s needs by serving all kinds of cuisine.

The beach is big enough to find a quiet place for you, in case that’s the vibe that you are looking for. There are cliffs you can climb, which we did a lot, to see the complete sea view in a different light. We climb the cliffs to start and end our day in Panglao.

3. BACONG BEACH, ANITQUE ISLANDS

Bacong Beach is located in the region of Western Visayas. The province capital is San Jose de Buenavista, the most populous town in Antique. Amazing beach with perfect white sand clear water.

4. ISLAS DE GIGANTES (GIGANTES ISLANDS)

Because of their remote location, the Gigantes Islands still offer that off-the-beaten track appeal, with uncrowded beaches, a lagoon hidden within rock formations, and all-you-can-eat seafood.

HOW TO GET TO GIGANTES ISLAND

1. From the IloIlo International Airport, take a taxi or van then take another public vehicle from either SM IloIlo or Tagbak Terminal. It may take 30 minutes or so depending on the traffic.

2. From Tagbak Terminal, you may choose to take a bus or a van going to Estancia. We suggest riding a van since it is faster and cheaper compared to a bus ride. Travel time takes 2 and a half hours.

3. Once you arrive at Estancia, ride a tricycle going to the port. This trip may take less than 15 minutes.

4. You will then ride a passenger boat going to Gigantes Islands which operates daily at 1 PM. The boat ride usually lasts 2 hours.

5. Welcome to Gigantes Islands! You may now ride a habal-habal going to your resort.

You may visit the famous Cabugao Gamay Island, one of the most featured islands of Gigantes. You can definitely expect crystal clear waters here and a few tourists or visitors if you travel in their low season. Another famous place to visit in the island is the North Gigantes Island Lighthouse which gives you an amazing view of the sea through the lighthouse.

It is one of the twenty-seven lighthouses that were commissioned by Spaniards during their era in the Philippines, and visiting here will feel like traveling back through time. Feeling a bit adventurous? Visit Pawikan Cave. The locals said that the cave was named “Pawikan” because of its rock formations resembling giant turtle eggs.

Last but not the least, Tangke Salt Water Lagoon is a spot famous for its amazing rock formation. There’s also a really cool swimming spot in its shallow waters. The place is totally Instagram-able. Yay!

5. GUIMARAS ISLAND, AVE MARIA ISLAND

It’s a quiet Sand bar with a Groto where the Virgin Maria isn’t anymore. But it’s one of the best places for pictures since you can see Turtle Island in the front, rock formations and the sand bar and clear water around. It’s also a good place for a swim. We got to Ave Maria Island with the island hopping in Guimaras Island.

6. APO ISLAND

Climb to the lighthouse there are 400 stairs to go to the lighthouse. The best is going early morning to enjoy the views from the top. After the sunrise you can do snorkeling and you will find many turtles around. If you like you can try diving too in Apo Island. One of the Philippines beaches that you cant miss.

7. MANTIGUE ISLAND, CAMIGUIN

The Island of Mantigue is mesmerizing when you get off of the boat. The Island is beyond beauty with its crystal clear waters, where you can also have a close encounter with corals and fish even while riding a boat. There’s a wide variety of fish species that lives in the crystal clear water surrounding the Island. Mantigue Island was our favorite Camiguin tourist spot!

For visiting Mantigue you have to ride a boat from San Roque close to Benoni Ferry terminal that will cost you 600 PHP maximum 6 people and it will take 15 minutes to get to Mantigue Island. There is an enviromental fee 10 PHP and 50 PHP entrance fee for snorkeling. You can also rent snorkeling gear in case you aren’t bringing your own.

8. PALITON BEACH, SIQUIJOR ISLAND

Paliton Beach was our first stop in Siquijor Island. The place was very beautiful with stretches of white sand and crystal clear blue waters. You can definitely enjoy snorkeling here. It’s actually a hidden beach and not everyone knows about Paliton Beach in the area of San Juan.

9. BUCAS GRANDE, SURIGAO DEL NORTE

Sohoton Cove Natural Park in Bucas Grande well protected and well preserved area. Islets that are all covered with healthy green trees.  The coves are only accessible when the tide is low. You can go dive, go snorkeling and find beautiful rock formation in the cove.

To get Sohoton Natural Park from General Luna you have to join to a tour or contact a private boat 2000 PHP joining a tour with lunch and entrance fees included or rent a boat 4500 PHP maximum 6 people apart from this you have to pay entrance fee 200 PHP for Sohoton Natural Park. Read here how to get to Sohoton Cove Natural Park!

10. MALINAO BEACH, SIARGAO ISLAND

Just 5 kilometers distance from General Luna. Malinao Beach was one of our favorite beaches in Siargao. The favorite part was around Sandy Feet Resort and you can go walking until Nay Palad which in front of Naked Island. 11. CALAGUAS ISLAND, CAMARINES DEL NORTE

Calaguas Island is a group of islands located in the Province of Camarines Norte in Luzon close to Bicol. The water is clear and blue and it’s a great place for snorkeling. I would say one of our favorite Philippines beaches.

12. CARAMOAN, CAMARINES DEL SUR

Caramoan is located in Camarines del Sur. An amazing island hopping is waiting for you and the area sin’t very touristic yet. You can go to Naga from Manila in a night bus. And later you have to get a van or a bus to reach Caramoan.

13. SABANG BEACH, BALER

Sabang Beach is popular for surfers in Baler. La Union and Baler are popular getaways for surfers. It’s located in the Province of Aurora a few hours far from Clark and Manila to Baler. Even you don’t like surfing there are many things to do around the area.

14. Samal Island

Samal Island is one of the best places for snorkeling since the water is so clear. Samar Island is located only one hour far from Davao City in Mindanao. There are many things to do in Samal Island apart from snorkeling you can visit waterfalls and the best way to move around is renting a motorcycle.

15. Binucot Beach

If you have time we recommend you to spend the day at Binucot Beach. There are a couple of places to eat: a pirate boat and a local restaurant. For sure you have to wait until the sunset since it’s so magical and beautiful in Binucot Beach. Check out our drone shots below:

There are a couple of beaches almost one kilometer of white sand and blue water. You can bring your snorkeling gear since the water is so clean and transparent. To get here you can go on your own with a motorbike. or you can also rent tricycle prices are around 400 PHP one way and 600-800 PHP return and they will wait for you in Binucot Beach.

16. CARABAO ISLAND, VISIT SAN JOSE BEACH

San Jose Beach is a beautiful beach with clear, warm water and white sand. You will find it almost empty any time of the day. A few kids play around and fishermen go around here as well. We spent most of the time there swimming, taking pictures, playing, and running around. It was so much fun!

17. LONG BEACH, SAN VICENTE PALAWAN

Long Beach is divided in 3 parts. Long Beach 1 is close to San Vicente Palawan town where we were staying. At Part 2 there are luxury resorts and Part 3 is Alimanguan Beach. The best way to move around is with a motorbike or with a tricycle.

You can go walking from San Vicente Palawan to part 1 but it will be far for moving around to the other parts. The beach is calm and quiet. And we loved it is full of palm trees!

18. VALUGAN BOULDER BEACH, BATANES

Valugan Boulder Beach is one of the busiest Batanes tourist spots in the North. Locals were taking pictures since the views were so beautiful. The stones were coming with the last eruption of the volcano. To get to Batanes you have to take a plane from Manila or Clark in Pampanga. It will take more than an hour to reach there.

19. PATAR BEACH, PANGASINAN

Patar Beach has a lot of potential to be more beautiful than it is right now because of its crystal clear waters and white sand. Even if it’s a public beach there are still only a few people that visit the place. Also, Patar Beach is only 5-6 hours away from Manila. Cottages and Hotels are available everywhere around and on-site.

20. PARADISE BEACH EL NIDO, PALAWAN

This is on the top of our list despite of its actual location being on the southern part of Luzon. We just can’t help it because it is one of our favorite places in the world! We have been here a few times already and every single visit was unique, and we loved every single experience we had.

You will seriously forget all the problems you have once you step on the clear waters and white sand beaches of El Nido, especially if you’ve arrived there through one of the Puerto Princesa to El Nido tour packages, which offer a hassle-free transition to this paradise.

21. ITATAY BEACH PORT BARTON, PALAWAN

The sunsets are amazing in Port Barton. Island hopping is one of our favorite in the Philippines. You can see turtles snorkeling and swimming. And if you want an amazing experience you can enjoy camping. The beaches are so perfect with white sand and blue water.

Balabac is located at South of Palawan with 40 000 population. Balabac is a paradise to discover in Palawan. There are 31 islands where you will enjoy amazing island hopping. Clear waters, amazing sunsets, great snorkeling spots and our favorite sand bars in the Philippines.

23. URBIZTONDO BEACH, LA UNION

La Union is one of the most popular spots for surfers. But this place is more than just its beautiful waves! There are many things to do apart from surfing. The nightlife is great and there are beautiful beaches in Bacnotan just 10 kilometers far from La Union.

24. PAGUDPUD, ILOCOS NORTE

We have been visiting twice Pagudpud so far and it’s one of our top tourist spots in the Philippines. It’s so quiet and great place to take pictures. Most of the tourists are locals.

The beaches are so beautiful and the sunsets are so colorful. Plus there are many places to visit around Pagudpud which keeps us busy for a few days always that we go to Pagudpud.

25. ANILAO, BATANGAS

In Anilao the water was so beautiful- blue, transparent, and calm. It was perfect for snorkeling and diving. We actually tried snorkeling in Anilao and the experience was great. Snorkeling was one of our favorite things to do in Anilao.

HOW TO GET TO ANILAO FROM MANILA

From Manila, there are buses leaving for Batangas regularly. You can board the buses from Alabang, Buendia or Cubao where there are hourly trips to Batangas. It takes approximately 3 hours to reach Batangas and costs around 150 PHP.

Upon arriving in Batangas, there are several ways to reach Anilao. One option is hiring a tricycle for 300 PHP ($6 USD) for a 40-minute ride. Another way to get to Anilao from the bus terminal is to ride a jeepney. It costs 35 PHP per person to reach the municipality of Mabini’s market, then you can take a tricycle to your resort.

26. SUBIC BAY

Subic is located in the province of Zambales. It’s only 3 hours drive from Manila. Subic is a free port zone that was built during the years the Americans colonized the country. Subic is small, peaceful and quiet. It’s a great place to walk around.

You can see a mix of local people with foreigners living there. In Subic, the sunsets almost never disappoint. We took magical shots every trip that we did in Subic!

HOW TO GET TO SUBIC FROM MANILA

From Manila you can get a bus from Cubao, Earnshaw, Pasay and Caloocan going to Olongapo. Victory Liner buses are going there and the fare is 270 PHP.

 Once in Olangapo you can move around by jeepney or tricycle depending where are you going to in Subic area. If you want to go to Subic by jeepney from Olongapo ride the jeepney until SM City Olongapo Mall and from there you can go walking to Subic free port area.

27. ANAWANGIN COVE, ZAMBALES

You have a bigger space for swimming than in the other beaches in Zambales and the water is so calm in this cove. There is a forest and a lake behind. The beach is popular for camping especially with the locals. There is a fee if you’ll stay overnight for 100-150 PHP. You can pitch your tent or renting in Anawangin Cove.

There is no electricity in and no phone signal in Anawangin so it’s the perfect place for disconnecting to the real world! To reach Anawangin Cove from Pundaquit beach will take 30 minutes and if you go only to this beach small boats for 4 people can cost 1000-1500 PHP.

HOW TO GET TO ZAMBALES FROM MANILA

There are buses from Victory Liner from Manila it takes 4 hours via Olongapo and the rate is 270 PHP. There are buses from Olongapo to San Antonio in Zambales 40 minutes and the fare is 55 PHP.

WHERE TO STAY IN ANAWANGIN COVE

It’s great to stay overnight camping, make sure you bring food, power banks since they aren’t selling food and there is no electricity.

28. NASUGBU, PICO DE LORO

Visiting Nasugbu, Batangas is definitely underrated compared to the more popular destinations in the Philippines. It’s beauty is also incomparable. Like what we’ve shared in our previous Batangas Travel Guides,  Nasugbu, Batangas is one of the most  beautiful places you can visit in the Philippines.

Only a few hours from Manila, there are many things to do in Nasugbu. You can dive, swim, snorkel, do island hops and do amazing trips in Nasugbu, Batangas.

HOW TO GET TO NASUGBU FROM MANILA

To get to Nasugbu from Manila you have to ride a bus from Buendia or Pasay. It will take 3-4 hours depending on the traffic and it will cost around 160 PHP.

WHERE TO STAY IN NASUGBU

With the many hotels and guests houses we’ve already stayed in, by far Pico Sands Hotel has the best eye for details. For this trip, we were traveling with a child, and right in our room, they prepared small gifts (toys for the beach and stuffed animals).

Nearby the hotel, you have the views of the pool, the big lagoon, the condominiums and the very beautiful scenery in the middle. We spent time with the ducks, played in the bridge, and had so much fun walking around so much greenery.

29. WHITE BEACH, BORACAY ISLAND

Ready for more adventure and to really experience the Boracay and its picturesque beaches? The White Beach is really good for sunset, restaurants and bars. You can discover various scenes that are perfect for photography, or really, just perfect for you to take it all in. There are of course other water activities available, like the kite sailing.

HOW TO GET TO BORACAY FROM MANILA

Boracay is just an hour by plane from Manila which is why it’s a very popular quick getaway for locals who are mostly coming from Manila. What do the locals and even foreign people see in Boracay that makes them always come back? You can also go by ferry from Batangas, there are night ferry going to Boracay.

WHERE TO STAY IN BORACAY

We enjoyed our stay in Ferra Hotel. The local vibe, nicely mixed with modern style was a nice touch. The rooms were big enough and we really loved the common areas. The best asset of the hotel is definitely its people, which of course, is what everyone talks about. They are the friendliest and most courteous staff we’ve met so far, with great attention to details.

Everyone in the whole hotel is naturally friendly, and you can see that it’s really part of the hotel’s culture, and just makes your stay a hundred times easier, much lighter and happier.

30. HUNDRED ISLANDS, PANGASINAN

Hundred islands Natural Park in Pangasinan is a group of islands 123 and they are quite popular for Filipinos especially in the weekend. It could be done in a long day trip from Manila and you can stay overnight. We recommend you to start your island hopping in Hundred Islands first thing in the morning to maximize your day. HOW TO GET TO HUNDRED ISLANDS FROM MANILA

If you are coming from Manila, you can ride a bus to Alaminos. Victory Lines has routes from Manila to Alaminos the fare is 400 PHP and travel time is around 4-5 hours depending on the traffic. There are buses running from Cubao anytime of the day.

Once you are in Alaminos you have to get a tricycle is around 5-6 kilometers to reach to the tourism information center in hundred islands. The fare of the tricycle is 100 PHP and you can share if you are riding with more people.

WHERE TO STAY IN HUNDRED ISLANDS

You can do overnight camping and there are a few resorts in the main islands. For our staying with chose Airbnb in Alaminos. You can also look for accommodation around Alaminos town.

31. WHITE BEACH, PUERTO GALERA

Why we can recommend to visit Puerto Galera? If you want to relax this is your place in the Philippines. It’s not very far if you are staying in Manila. Puerto Galera is famous for diving and snorkeling and it was good. .

There are different beaches in Puerto Galera depending what you are looking for. Puerto Galera is also a famous place to go to if you want to try diving. There are available diving lessons and diving activities you can opt to avail. Other water activities such as snorkeling, jet skiing and kayaking.

Of course, island hopping is another popular activity since there are other smaller islands surrounding Puerto Galera that you can go to and explore. There are also inland places and attractions you can go to like the Tamaraw Falls and visit the local Mangyan Village at the foot of Mt. Malasimbo.

HOW TO GET TO PUERTO GALERA FROM MANILA

If you are in Manila, you will have to ride a bus to Batangas port for 2-3 hours depending of the traffic. If you go in the weekends or first thing in the morning you will make to Batangas in a couple of hours. Prices for the bus costs $4. And once you are in Batangas you have to ride a boat to reach Puerto Galera an hour or so. Prices for the boat is $5-6.

Once you ride the boat from Batangas, you need to do small payments for ferry terminal (half dollar) and also environmental fee for maintenance of the island ($1-2).

32. CAGBALETE ISLAND, QUEZON

You have to ride a bus to Lucena City from Manila. Bus prices around 260 PHP and the travel time is 3 hours. Once in Lucena you have to take a local bus to Maluban around 70 PHP and 2 hours travel time. Once you get to Maluban, you have to ride a boat 100 PHP to Cagbalete Island.

There are beautiful beaches like Paradise Beach in Bantayan Island where most of the resorts are located. We enjoyed flying our drone, swimming, and walking around the beach. The color of the water is blue and it’s so calm! Close to Paradise beach, you can visit Ogtong Cave, a small cave with a natural pool inside.

Langob Beach was our favorite beach in Malapascua. It’s located at the end of the island and it’s very quiet and peaceful. If you decide to take a walk to Langob Beach, you will see gorgeous palm trees and a breathtaking 360 view. You can also take a habal-habal from the port to the beach for around 50 PHP per person.

We found the beach less busy than Bounty Beach. From here, you can head to Lighthouse beach which is just a few minutes walking distance to catch the sunset. Read here things to do in Malapascua island.

35. LAMBUG BEACH IN MOALBOAL

There are many beautiful beaches to see in Moalboal. Our favorite island was Pescador Island where you can snorkeling, see dolphins and sardines. And of course, Lambug Beach where the water is so blue and you can find star fishes everywhere in this lonely beach. There are cottages and a few places to stay in Lambug beach.

36. MACTAN ISLAND, CEBU

Mactan Island is just a few kilometers far from the airport in Cebu City. We love chasing sunsets and above you can see an amazing one. Having beaches just arriving Cebu International Airport or before leaving was so cool for us. Sunset time is definitely a good time for that!

37. SANTIAGO BAY IN CAMOTES ISLAND

Santiago Bay Beach is also a public beach located in San Francisco, Cebu. It has a long white-sand shoreline with fine and powdery white sand. It is perfect spot for swimming especially in the summer!

38. KALANGGAMAN ISLAND, LEYTE

You can visit Kalanggaman Island, an island about 2 hours away from Malapascua, which is already an official part of Leyte, Philippines. It will take you an hour and a half to reach the island.

You will find a paradise haven where you can spend the day, relaxing, enjoying seafood, walking in an area surrounded by the palm trees, eating fruits and seafood, and of course, you can snorkel to see underwater beauty of the area.

The day trip from Malapascua costs 800 PHP lunch included and you have to pay extra 550 PHP fee to visit the island if you are foreigner, 150 PHP for Filipinos and children with 5 years old get for free! If you are staying in Malapascua we totally recommend you this day trip to Kalanggaman Island.

39. SUMILON ISLAND, CEBU

As you can see, this island is blessed with clear blue waters and white sand. It is located at the southeastern part of Oslob. You will definitely enjoy your stay here because of the activities you can do in the area, such as relaxing in the beautiful beach, bird watching, fishing, hiking, island hopping, trekking, and of course, diving!

There are 4 beautiful major dive areas in Sumilon Island that you can choose- Garden Eel Plaza, Nikki’s Wall, Coral Landscape and Julie’s Rock.

40. PINK SAND BEACH IN ZAMBOANGA, MINDANAO

Pink Sand Beach is located in Great Santa Cruz Island a small inhabited island in Zamboanga City in the southern region of the Philippines in Mindanao. The island is only 4 kilometers and is the last one in our list best beaches in the Philippines.
