How To Get From Kuta to Ubud
HOW TO GET FROM KUTA TO UBUD BY BUS (CHEAPEST OPTION)
The cheapest option from Kuta to Ubud is by bus. It will be great option if you are traveling alone and on a budget and with not so much luggage. You can get Perama Buses and Kura Kura Buses from Kuta to Ubud.
The buses from Kuta to Ubud costs 80K IDR which is $5 USD. It will take more than one hour since is doing a few stops on the way to Ubud. The buses are leaving from Perama Tour & Travel or Kura Kura Buses, click here to check the exact location.
There are only a few buses during the day but if it’s matching the schedule can be apart from cheapest option from Kuta to Ubud the most convenient. To get there you can go walking, public transportation by Grab or Go Jek motorbikes too which are quite affordable for $1 USD.

BEST OPTION KUTA TO UBUD BY GO JEK AND GRAB
If you want to get from Kuta to Ubud by Go Jek and Grab will be our favorite option especially if you are two people traveling with luggage. You can book online in advance and the prices are fixed avoiding negotiation with taxi drivers. The fare Kuta to Ubud can be around 200K IDR cheaper than taxi.
The travel time Kuta to Ubud will be 1 hour or 1 hour 30 minutes. And this option is great if you are traveling 2-3 people with luggage. For us is our favorite option to move around Bali and Southeast Asia in general.

KUTA TO UBUD BY TAXI
If you want to get from Kuta to Ubud by taxi will be a comfortable option. Taxi prices Kuta to Ubud will be starting 300K IDR (around $20 USD).
The cheapest taxi and reliable that we always use in Bali is Blue Bird Taxi. The travel time from Kuta to Ubud can be from 1 hour to 1 hour and a half depending on the traffic.

KUTA TO UBUD PRIVATE TRANSPORTATION
If you prefer the comfort of private transportation around Bali because you are traveling in a group or with too much luggage. It will not be expensive and it will be so efficient.
If you are traveling with a private driver from Kuta to Ubud you can stop anytime to take pictures or to buy anything that you see on the way. There are a few interesting spots on the way and the driver will guide you around.

Motorbike Kuta to Ubud
Another way if you aren’t bringing so much luggage is riding a motorbike from Kuta to Ubud. You can rent them quite cheap around $5 USD per day and even cheaper if you rent for a few days.
You can go on your own visiting your favorite spots and it will take you more than an hour to reach there. Be careful and check the weather in advance especially at the rainy season.
DAILY BUDGET TRAVEL IN UBUD
You can find cafes serving less than $1 USD and you can also eat local food like Nasi Goreng or Nasi Campur for $1-2. You can also enjoy some Smoothies and Gelato if you’re traveling on a hot season. Everything’s really affordable if you are traveling on a budget, you won’t have any problem at all. They also offer beers during Happy Hour for only $2-3 USD.
You can do tours (for example Tegalallang Rice fields starting from $10 USD). You can also get massages for $4-5 USD per hour and rent a motorbike for $4-5 USD per day. Ubud is really great for budget travelers.
