There are daily buses and trains going to Annecy from Grenoble and from main of the places around like Lyon, Chambery and Geneva. I went during my road trip from Chambery to Annecy and it was around 1 hour driving. If you want to drive from Switzerland in Geneva it will be around 1 hour driving and 2 hours driving from Lyon and Grenoble.
