How to get to Toulouse
There are daily buses and trains going to Toulouse from main of the places around. I went during my road trip and Toulouse is 2 hours far from Montpellier and 4-5 hours driving from North Spain depending where you are coming from.
BEST TIME TO VISIT TOULOUSE
Toulouse is a city with a Mediterranean climate so summer is its high season among tourists. Autumn would be the perfect time to enjoy this French city.
While the weather during fall is still warm and dry, temperatures and room rates have dropped considerably compared to the peak season. So, the best time to visit Toulouse is actually from September to November.

Daily Budget Travel in Toulouse
There are many ways to explore Toulouse, mostly depending on your time and your budget. If you want to explore the city without burning a hole in your pocket, there are meals in Toulouse at local restaurants for as low as €10-15.
Those who want to eat something a bit fancier can have a meal at a mid-range restaurant for around €20-40 or even less if you have someone to split the bill with. Dinner at a top restaurant in Toulouse can go for €70-150.

Things to do in Toulouse and Toulouse Tourist Spots
1. Basilique Saint-Sernin
Basilique Saint-Sernin is an amazing in the list of Toulouse tourist spots. You will see gothic and roman style. Basilique Saint-Sernin is a UNESCO site and apart of being so beautiful is visited for pilgrims going to Santiago de Compostela in Camino de Santiago. A very cheerful area to visit and you can even relax.
2. Cathédrale Saint-Etienne (Toulouse Cathedral)
Cathédrale Saint-Etienne or Toulouse Cathedral is a Romanic church and a national monument in Toulouse where Archbishop of Toulouse seats. Toulouse Cathedral is only a few steps far of Pont Neuf in city center.
3. Canal du Midi
Canal du Midi is a place that you can’t miss in Toulouse. Since walking around taking pictures. It’s so peaceful plus you can do activities like kayaking and riding a boat. Canal du Midi was one of my top Toulouse tourist spots.
4. Place du Capitole
Place du Capitole is located in the city center and it’s huge one where you will see the City Hall. There are many people walking around, there are shops selling souvenirs and it’s the perfect place to start walking around Toulouse.
5. Muséum de Toulouse
Muséum de Toulouse is the natural history museum in Toulouse. It’s huge and it’s perfect to visit for adults and kids to learn about the city. There are also Botanical Gardens inside the museum.
6. The Dôme de la Grave
The Dôme de la Grave is one of the favorite Toulouse tourist spots if you like taking pictures. The best views are walking around the river and later you can cross and take a look crossing the bridge.
7. Fondation Bemberg
Fondation Bemberg is a very picturesque building in Toulouse. You can see art from the Renaissance to the modern times. Fondation Bemberg entrance fee is 8€ and 5€ for kids. Fondation Bemberg is open from Tuesday to Sundays only on Mondays is closed.
8. Church of the Jacobins
Church of the Jacobins is a Roman Catholic church that was building in 1230 with also gothic architecture and nowdays is converted as a Museum.
9. Chapelle des Carmélites
Chapelle des Carmélites is loacted at rue du Périgord in Toulouse city center. Chapelle des Carmélites started building by King Louis XIII and his wife Anne of Austria on 1st July 1622 and it was completed by his successor Jean-Baptiste Despax from Toulouse.
10. Musée Georges Labit
Musée Georges Labit was built in 1893 offering a collection of Asian art and Egyptian art Musée Georges Labit entrance fee is 5€ for adults and 3€ for kids. It’s closed on Tuesday.
11. Jardin Japonais
Jardin Japonais will reminds you to Japan and is the perfect place for doing aport and taking pictures in Toulouse. Jardin Japonais has no entrance fee.
12. Musée des Augustins
Musée des Augustins is an arts museum in Toulouse offering a collection of sculpture and paintings from the Middle Ages to the early 20th century representing Occitan culture. Musée des Augustins entrance fee is 4€ for adults.
13. Musée Saint-Raymond Archaeology Museum
Musée Saint-Raymond is the archeological museum of Toulouse opened in 1892. You will find the museum around Basilica of Saint-Sernin and it’s one of the best things to do in Toulouse if you like to learn about history. Musée Saint-Raymond entrance is 5€ for adults.
14. Cité de l’Espace
Cité de l’Espace is a perfect place in the list of things to do in Toulouse if you are visiting with kids. Cité de l’Espace entrance fee is around 20-25€ depending of thse season.
15. Les Abattoirs Museum of Modern Art
Les Abattoirs Museum of Modern Art if you like art it’s one of the things to do in Toulouse that you can’t miss it. Les Abattoirs Museum of Modern Art entrance fee is 8€ for adults and 5€ for kids.
16. Aeroscopia Museum
If you love airplanes a great plan for Toulouse tourist spots is Aeroscopia Museum. You will see the history and different airplanes in the museum. Aeroscospia entrance fee is 14€ for adults and there is no entrance fee for kids.
17. Pont Neuf at Sunset And Night
Pont Neuf is great for walking around the day and taking pictures and locals love it for spending sunset and night time. You will see them having dinner, snacks or a drink.
18. Kayaking
If you like adventure one of the things to do is kayaking thru Canl Midi. There are kayak for rent during the summer.
19. Cycling Around Toulouse
Cycling around Toulouse can be the best way of visiting the city. You can rent bicycles for 30 minutes for free and you will find many of them around the city center in Toulouse.

20. Garonne
Garonne is 1 hour and 30 minutes driving distance from Toulouse on the way to Bordeaux and it’s a popular town because of Garonne River. A nice place to walk around.
21. Cordes-sur-Ciel
Cordes-sur-Ciel is one hour driving distance from Toulouse and it’s one of the most popular day trips from Toulouse.
22. Albi
Albi was one of my favorite towns in France. It’s small and you can walk around in 1-2 hours with nice views from the bridge and I really liked the Gardens in Toulouse Latrec Museum.
23. Carcassonne
Carcassonne is 30 minutes driving distance from Toulouse and its a medieval town with a beautiful castle that you can’t miss it if you are around the area.
