HOW TO GET TO GRENOBLE
There are daily buses and trains going to Grenoble from main of the places around. I went during my road trip from Montpellier to Grenoble and it was around 3 hours driving. If you want to drive from North Spain will be around 6-7 hours driving depending where you are coming from.
BEST TIME TO VISIT GRENOBLE
Grenoble is a city that you can visit the whole year. In winter will be the best time for visiting Grenoble if you are looking for Ski Resorts and similar activities.
While the weather during fall is still warm and dry, temperatures and room rates have dropped considerably compared to the peak season. So, the best time to visit Grenoble is actually from September to November.

DAILY BUDGET TRAVEL IN GRENOBLE
There are many ways to explore Grenoble. You can go walking around Grenoble or getting public transportation for around 2€ a single bus ticket. You can go by bicycle too and electric scooter.

1. Fort de la Bastille
Fort de la Bastille is one of the most interesting Grenoble tourist spots. You can get there hiking around 1 hour going up and little bit less going down. You will get amazing views and the hike isn’t really difficult. If you decide going by cable car Fort de la Bastille rates for the cable car are: round trip, 8,60€ and one way, 5,80€.
2. Walking around Vieille Ville (Old Town)
Walking around Vieille Ville (Old Town) is one of the best things to do in Grenoble. It’s quiet and there are parks, shops and bars to spend your time around.
3. Take a Cable Car in Grenoble
Take a cable car to la Bastille from Grenoble and enjoying the views is one of the best things to do in Grenoble. It’s a short ride that you can skip.
4. Plaza Victor Hugo
Plaza Victor Hugo is a perfect place to relax and walk around in city center in Grenoble. You will always find people around during the day and night time. There are a few shops and bars in the area.

Musée Archéologique Saint-Laurent with ruins from 4th to 19th century is located outside Grenoble city center. You will find well preserved ones. Musée Archéologique Saint-Laurent has no entrance fee.
14. Musée de la Résistance et de la Déportation de l’Isère

15. Chambery
