Not all insurances are made the same
Just as there are various types of travelers, various types of insurance can cover your needs. It’s critical to choose the best insurance for you and your style of travel. This is why thorough research on how the best insurances compare with each other is important.
You’ll want to make sure that your money is put to good use, and that you are picking the travel insurance that will keep you at ease when traveling. The last time you want to do is worry if you’re safe when you’re in a new country. Pick the right insurance for your needs and get busy having fun or focusing on work/business when you’re on your travels!
Top Things To Consider: Heymondo Travel Insurance Review
Here are some of the top things you’ll want to look at when deciding what insurance to pick for you, and your loved ones (in cases that you’re traveling with someone):
- The length of your travel – Travel insurance price varies based on the length of your travel. With Heymondo Travel Insurance, price can change based on what country you’re coming from, and you can get tailored pricing based on length of travel, and how often you want to come back, with option to add additionals!
- How often will you be back home and back traveling throughout the year
- Which continents and countries do you want to travel to? Are there required insurances for the countries you’re traveling to?
- Will you be traveling with minors – There are insurances that cover minors for free so check this in case it’s an option for you
- Are you traveling for leisure or business – This usually affects your time of travel, and how often will you be traveling back home, and whether your travel is set in stone for the year, or has more flexibility. Take a look at the annual plans of Heymondo here!
- Do you like adventure sports, and will you include doing adventure sports when traveling – Some travel insurances are definitely for the adventurer at heart, so make sure your chosen insurance covers this.
- Will you climb mountains, and get on a particularly high altitude when traveling? How about diving, and other sports?
- Do you travel with expensive and important gadgets like cameras and laptops?
- Do you travel bringing expensive clothes and jewelry?
- Are you on medication, or do you have special health needs when traveling?
You might be able to think of other considerations, so make sure all your bases are covered when picking your travel insurance.

Heymondo Travel Insurance Review: Pricing and Options
Heymondo has 3 main pricing points, which are based on the type of travel you are doing:
Heymondo Travel Insurance Prices: Single Trip Insurance
Heymondo’s Single Trip travel insurance is best for vacations or short trips. These usually last from a few days – 7, 10, 15 days. Anything less than 90 days fit best in this package.
See the below screenshot as an example of a quotation from Heymondo for a 2-week travel insurance. In this example, it’s a quotation for you’re a US Resident, planning a 2-week trip to Europe.
For Heymondo’s Single Trip Package, there are 3 more pricing options: Heymondo Top, Heymondo Premium and Heymondo Medical.
The biggest differences among these 3 pricing options are the maximum coverages, so make sure you choose the one that fits your travel needs more. In some trips, you will be required to present an insurance that covers a particular price, so take that too in consideration.

How Heymondo Travel Insurance differs from other Travel Insurance in the Market
Heymondo has a lot of promise but what we love is they actually DELIVER! Check out the unique features of Heymondo:
No out-of-pocket medical expenses – These are just one of those things that we’re completely impressed about, and frankly very important in emergencies. In some countries, you can’t immediately get help in hospitals because you need to verify your insurance, but also because you’re worried about all the out-of-pocket expenses and other costs that you need to front.
Heymondo Assitance App – Heymondo has a dedicated app you can download which gives you easy access to their customer support, and their online doctors. You will have 24 hour medical chat, free emergency assistance calls and very easy claims management
Highly responsive support – We have to reiterate that Heymondo does respond easily, and doesn’t make it difficult to get refunds and to get help understanding the coverage of your insurance. This is very important when you’re traveling. They even have a Whatsapp number you can contact, in addition to their app.
Refund Guarantee – If you end up not traveling because of unforeseen events, Heymondo is ready to refund you 100% of your insurance.
No Deductibles – Simple and straightforward travel insurance without deductibles and excess – now that’s a plus!
Pros and Cons Heymondo Travel Insurance
We love that Heymondo Travel insurance is personalized travel insurance, with very competitive rates. Having access to an app where you can see your plan and get access to remote doctors and customer support and yes no need to pay any medical assistance in advance. Heymondo Travel Insurance will fix everything for you!
The only con we can see is if you’re traveling with a kid, insurance for them isn’t included for free. If you’re traveling with kids, you’ll have to get them their own insurance package as well. We do hope this feature gets added along the way – which will be such a plus for parents doing small trips (and even long ones) with the kids!
So make sure you check out these details before booking! Also, Heymondo covers insurance until 69 years of age, so check that detail too, in case you’re older.
Who is Heymondo Travel Insurance Perfect for
Heymondo Travel Insurance is honestly perfect for the majority of types of travelers! If you are always on the go and don’t even go home every 90 days ( a requirement in their Annual Plan), are a full-time digital nomad, and traveling continuously, you might want to check alternative travel insurance for Heymondo for a subscription-based pricing. Under Heymondo, you can always check their Long Stay Plans. This might cover all your needs if you just go with their renewable pricing after your initial 90 days.
The best of Heymondo Travel Insurance for us is that you will not have to be worried about paying anything of your medical expenses in advance and you will get support with Heymondo App 24/7.
