Bus From Brunei Airport To City Center
There are Purple Buses Number 23, 24, 34, 36, 38 and 57 going from Brunei airport to city center. There are 6 different routes. The bus fare is $2 BND from Brunei Airport to city center.
You will have to pay cash to the driver. The total travel time by bus from Brunei Airport to city center Bandar Seri Begawan Bus Station can be around 30 minutes.
The buses are running every 30 minutes from 6 am to midnight. You can get the bus in the end of the car park. Sometimes the buses don’t follow a strict schedule and you will have to wait longer or ask for a taxi or a ride with Dart App.
As my experience taking buses in Brunei sometimes when showing the address to the bus driver. They will drive me until my address even it’s not on the way because I was the only one in the bus (sometimes you are lucky as a tourist). They were really friendly bus drivers with me in Brunei.
Taxi/Dart App From Brunei Airport To City Center
If you want to go from Brunei airport to city center by taxi will take around 15 minutes to drive. Taxi fare is around $15-$20 BND which is $11-$15 USD. There is no fixed price and you will have to negotiate. It will hard because sometimes there are no taxis available in the airport and you will have to call them.
Hitchhiking in Brunei
If there are no taxis or public transportation just go for hitchhiking in Brunei as I did in my trip. You will see is pretty hard to find buses and taxis but if you ask for a ride people will stop really easy. I was surprised how good hitchhiking was working in Brunei to move around plus the distance are very short. It’s always a great chance to meet local friends.

Thank you Ruben! Very useful information. We were wondering how we will get from the airport to our hotel, so your article came very handy :) Now we are trying to understand how we can move around the city and if it is crucial to live in the city center so you don't have to use public transport.

Thanks Anna!! Glad to hear that it was useful :) At the Bus Terminal you can see the Bus routes around the city but there are just a few buses (not very often) and public transportation isn't really good but you will manage to visit a few places checking the bus schedule for sure
