BY METRO FROM CHENGDU AIRPORT TO CITY CENTER (CHEAPEST WAY)
The cheapest way from Chengdu airport to city center is by metro. The metro running every 8-10 minutes from 6 am until 11 pm.
The metro fare is 12 RMB which is $2 USD depending on your final destination and it will take 1 hour to hour and 15 minutes.
You will have to get the Metro Line 18 from Chengdu Airport to Chengdu South Railway Station and transfer to the Metro Line 1 going to Tianfu Square.
SHUTTLE BUS FROM CHENGDU AIRPORT TO CITY CENTER
The shuttle bus is slower and more expensive than the metro. The shuttle bus Number 1 is leaving from 7 am to midnight from Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.
