Palais des Papes entrance fee is 12€ and 14.50€ with entrance to the bridge for adults. Children under 8 years old are free of charge.

Pont Saint-Bénézet is also known as the Pont d’Avignon. Pont Saint-Bénézet a medieval site inside the the Palais des Papes and it’s considered with the Palais des Papes and Cathédrale Notre-Dame des Doms were classified as a World Heritage Site.

Pont du Gard is the highest of all Roman aqueduct and it’s very well preserved. Obviously is an UNESCO site since 1985. One of the best things to do in Avignon just a few minutes driving.

16. MONTPELLIER

Montpellier is one hour driving from Avignon. You will have an amazing time exploring city center and if you like trying local restaurants. It will be nice if you can spend a couple of days visiting Montpellier.

Languedoc region is located between Toulouse and Montpellier close to Avignon. Languedoc region is one the largest wine region in France and in the world with 223,000 hectares.
