HOW TO GET FROM BACOLOD TO BORACAY

If you want to get from Bacolod to Boracay. If you are coming from Bacolod City you have to ride the Fast Boat from Bacolod to Iloilo. It will take one hour and the fare is around 270 PHP. From the port in Iloilo you will have to transfer to Ceres Bus Terminal to catch the bus to Caticlan.

BACOLOD TO BORACAY FERRY AND BUS (VIA FAST BOAT ILOILO)

If you want to get Bacolod to Boracay by ferry plus bus. Once you get to Iloilo City. You will have to get to Ceres Bus Terminal close to Tagbak Terminal where you can get the bus to Caticlan port.

The bus from Iloilo to Caticlan will stop at Kalibo. The whole journey from Kalibo to Caticlan will take around 6 hours and the price is 380 PHP.

If you are going from Bacolod to Boracay. The total travel time from Bacolod to Boracay will be around 2 hours Fast Ferry Bacolod to Iloilo and included transfer to Bus Ceres Terminal. Plus 6 hours bus from Iloilo to Caticlan.

Bacolod to Boracay fare will be 270 PHP Fast Boat, 120 PHP taxi ride to Ceres Terminal and 380 PHP bus from Iloilo to Caticlan. Total it will be around 770-850 PHP per person.

CATICLAN TO BORACAY FERRY

If you want to get from Caticlan airport to Boracay. It’s really easy and fast. You have to ride a tricycle for 5 minutes from Caticlan airport to Caticlan Jetty port.

The fare is 50 PHP per person for the tricycle if you are sharing. It can be until 100 PHP if you are alone. If you go on a budget you can even go walking from Caticlan airport to Caticlan Jetty port.

Once in Caticlan port to Boracay Ferry you have to ride a 15 minutes boat 75 PHP Terminal fee plus 100 PHP of enviromental fee. 5 years old kid don’t have to pay anything. As we were traveling with Han he got free of charge!

But first remember that you have to show the booking of your hotel. If you dont have a booking you will not be able to pay the fees and boar the boat.

Once in Cagban Port in Boracay a tricycle to Station 2 will take 20-30 minutes. The fare for a shared tricycle is 20-40 PHP and 150 PHP if it’s private the ride. It depends if you go to Station 3, Station 2 or Station 1 in Boracay Island the price can change.

BACOLOD TO BORACAY FLIGHT

There is no direct flight Bacolod to Boracay. You will have to do a stopover in Cebu. The total travel time Bacolod to Boracay by plane with the stopover can be around 3 hours and a half. The fare Bacolod to Boracay will be around 3000-4000 PHP.

WHERE TO STAY IN BORACAY ISLAND

There are many places to stay in Boracay. If you go on a budget Station 3, Station 2 and close to Bulabog Beach will find cheap hotels and hostels. Prices for a dorm can go from 500-800 PHP in Boracay. And you can find rooms for 1200-2000 PHP good enough for 2-3 people.

If you want more comfort and luxury Station 1 will be your option. Expect to pay from 3000-4000 PHP per room in Station 1 which is quieter than Station 2, 3 and Bulabog Beach.

We stayed in a couple of hotels in Station 1 and one of which is Hampstead Boutique Hotel. Hampstead Boutique Hotel located in a quiet area. It just has a few rooms and only 5 minutes walking distance away to the beach in Station 1. The staff is really nice, and you will love the food and the hotel in general. They have 8 rooms, suites and amazing villa!

Our favorite in the hotel was enjoying this villa with views to the beach and our own private pool. The villa is for 10 people if you are traveling with your family and friends.

Another place on our list of Where to Stay in Boracay is Bluewaves Westcliff Villa. It boasts a peaceful and relaxing ambiance in every room for its guests, as well as their WiFi in every public area in the villa. Each room is air conditioned and has a TV as well as a private bathroom.

What tourists love the most is the friendliness of their staff, the outdoor poor, and the fact that it’s only a 5-minute walking distance away from the White Beach and Balabag Plaza. RESORTS IN BORACAY: WHERE TO STAY IN BORACAY, STATION 2

If you like nightlife bars and enjoying restaurants you should choose Station 2. Since you will be close to the party area. There are resorts in Boracay Station 2 close to the beach where you can stay quiet at night. Our best choice was Seabird International Resort.

We stayed Seabird International Resort which is located just a few meters from the beach. The location is quiet so you won’t believe that it’s just one minute walking distance away from the beach, bars and restaurants. They offer yoga classes in the morning, Filipino breakfast and the prices are affordable!

The staff is friendly and the hotel is close to everything. You only have to walk 5 minutes to go to D Mall, restaurants and less than a minute to go to the beach, bars and restaurants around the beach.

If you prefer to stay far from White Beach but walking distance Bulabog Beach is your place. We stayed at Mad Monkey Hostel and its the best place to stay if you want to meet people and you love party. If you don’t stay at Mad Monkey but you want to try the Party Boat in Boracay pass by to make your booking.

For our stay at Bulabog Beach, we chose a party hostel named Mad Monkey Hostel, where there is a continuous party from 8 am to 1 am. They organize the boat party and different activities.
