Sunfong Temple (Sanfeng Temple) Kaohsiung

Sunfong temple (Sanfeng temple) is one of our favorite temples that we visited in Kaohsiung and Taiwan. When we got there we realized is an instagrammable places in Taiwan. It’s close to city center and it has 3 different levels. Our favorite one is the top level. You will have a great opportunity to learn about Taoism religion since is the biggest in Taiwan. How to get to Sunfong Temple (Sanfeng Temple)

If you want to get to Sunfong Temple (Sanfeng temple) there is no MTR Station close to the temple. We decided to take a taxi since we were three of us from Formosa Boulevard Station. It costs 75 TWD and it took less than 10 minutes to get there. You can also go walking and it will take 20-25 minutes to reach there. Sunfong Temple (Sanfeng temple)

The entrance of Sunfong temple is huge and beautiful. You access the stairs and the first level is crowded. People can buy fruits and donations. They will pray and ask for their wishes. It’s usually people ask for business, health and love. You have to throw the stones and there are three answers: Yes, No and Maybe depending on the position that they fell on the ground. We also did and we asked about our success with our travel blog and travel life. It said yes that we will be successful! We did our offering and hope it’s true for more travels that we can share with all of you. Third level was our favorite and so beautiful with the balls hanging around. These orange balls symbolizes donations and it’s written the date. It’s so colorful! For us it was a nice plan to do in Kaohsiung and we learned about Taoist religion things that we didn’t know before. Plus we got nice pictures.

HOW TO MOVE AROUND KAOHSIUNG CITY CENTER

BUYING EASY CARD

We have to say that for us was the best way to travel around Kaohisung since you just put load and you can use in MRT, buses and even going to places like Fo Guang Shang Memorial which is outside the center. You can also use it in Taipei. Plus you can use for buying in 7 Eleven and convenience stores in the country. So i’s pretty convenient. You can purchase in convenience stores in Kaohsiung. Also available in the airport you will pay 100 TWD which is $3 USD non-refundable. It’s comfortable and every time that you use your Easy Card you get 15% discounts in your MRT and bus trips. You can recharge in convenience stores or in MRT Stations. You can use that money to buy in convenience stores in Taiwan.
