GETTING TO SUBIC FROM MANILA
If you are getting to Subic from Manila you can get a bus from Cubao, Earnshaw, Pasay and Caloocan going to Olongapo. Victory Liner buses are going there and the fare is 270 PHP.
Once in Olangapo you can move around by jeepney or tricycle depending where are you going to in Subic area. If you want to go to Subic by jeepney from Olongapo ride the jeepney until SM City Olongapo Mall and from there you can go walking to Subic free port area.
GETTING TO SUBIC FROM CLARK
If you are getting to Subic from Clark International airport you just need to reach Dau Bus station and you have two options to get to Subic. A minivan is leaving every hour or so to Subic and they will drop you at the Harbor Point Mall in Subic. The fare is 130 PHP per person and it will take one hour.
If you want to get to Subic by bus from Clark from Dau Station, you have to go to Olongapo city. The fare is 140 PHP and it will take almost an hour and a half to reach Olongapo. Once in Olongapo you have to get a jeepney to SM Olongapo where you can go walking to Subic freeport zone.
CURRENCY ATMS IN SUBIC

TRANSPORTATION AROUND SUBIC
If you are staying around Subic Freeport zone you can go walking distance to different places. There are also taxis to move around Subic. If you want to get a jeepney you have to walk 10 minutes to SM Olongapo and you can get transportation to move around the area.
Jeepneys costs around 10 PHP and taxis are affordable since there aren’t big distances in Subic. There are also a few jeepneys leaving near Jollybee to different points of Subic if you prefer public transportation. And it cost between 10-20 PHP depending on the distance.

SUBIC RESTAURANTS AND WHERE TO EAT IN SUBIC
FOOD DAILY BUDGET IN SUBIC
Those visiting Subic will find inexpensive but more pricey than other places in the Philippines. A full meal in Olongapo city can go for as low as 80 PHP per person while a bottle of beer can be bought for around 50-65 PHP. Restaurant food can be bought in Subic restaurants for around 500-800 PHP for two people around Subic area.
Pretty cheap, right? And if you only have 20 PHP in your pocket and you’re feeling pretty hungry, you can even buy plenty of street food with your cash.
Transportation is also pretty cheap with jeepneys going all over town at a flat rate of 10 PHP and 50-100 PHP if you want to move around taxi.

1. RALI’S RESTAURANT
If you are looking for a nice restaurant with a romantic vibe, Rali’s Restaurant is what you are looking for. It is also located in Subic Bay’s Freeport Zone. Their specialty are Blackened Tuna, Stuffed Bacon Wrap Chicken and Carmen’s Best Chocolate Ice Cream for dessert. You can opt for a candlelit dinner with your loved ones.

2. TEPPAN 101
We really loved our experience in this lovely Taiwanese Restaurant Teppan 101. We loved the interior, eating in front of the chef and checking the step by step preparation of our meals. The food was so delicious and the staff was amazing.

3. MI TAPAS
Mi Tapas is different restaurant from Teppan 101. It´s European style serving tapas from Spain. We had a romantic dinner in the pool area. Let’s first talk about their preparation.
We also had seafood- giant shrimps which are big and delicious! With candles and good food, you can´t have a perfect dinner without having Red wine from La Rioja, one of my favorite places in Spain (it is well known because of the wineries).

4. CRAB AND BELLY
Established in 2017, Crab and Belly offers fresh seafood dishes as well as ‘belly’ dishes. Being pretty close to the sea, you can be sure that Crab and Belly can only offer fresh seafood ingredients in the dishes that they will serve.
They have seafood platters and even also offers unlimited crab or shrimp for 1,4999 PHP!

Partner it with their signature drinks, you’ll truly enjoy your visit. With its strategic location near the naval docks, the gastropub offers a wide variety of drinks both local and international.

6. SANDS AL FRESCO
Sands al Fresco was so delightful. We had a romantic dinner for three prepared for us in one of the perfect spots for dining in the hotel – right where you can admire all the beauty of the greens surrounding the hotel, with all the night lights from the lighthouse, plus the serene pool view.
We had Kare-kareng Bagnet (Kare kare is a dish cooked with beef meat and vegetables like egg plant and onions. It´s usually served with peanut sauce), plus Kebab (a big serving of it full with side dishes), mango juices (green and ripe yellow fresh mango juices) and some pizza snacks for our little one.
The Kebab is so delicious and even reminded me of the delicious local Kebab dishes in Turkey and Germany. If you are up for a drink, you can enjoy 720º London Music bar next to the pool and have a drink before sleeping while enjoying the music.

7. ILANIN BAY CAFE
Ilanin Bay Cafe offers affordable but tasty food. Sometimes called as Canteen by the bay, it also offers a nice view of the water since it is just near. They have local comfort foods such as pancit and halo-halo.

8. HSIN CAFE
Hsin Cafe is famous for their shabu-shabu (hotpot) meals. We enjoyed our shabu-shabu experience, cooking our food in the center of our table, and mixing our food with a variety of tasty sauces. Dumplings, meat, noodles, vegetables…
So good!! We enjoyed our Chinese-oriental dinner with our mango shakes. Did we mention that Subic is famous for being the province with one of the best mangoes in the Philippines?
