BEST TIME TO VISIT ANGELES CITY
If you’re traveling to Angeles in Pampanga, the warmest months here are April and May. January to March is the best time to visit Angeles City as this is the sunniest period of the year and is relatively cooler than the other months. BEST RESTAURANTS IN ANGELES CITY
1. KOREAN RESTAURANTS IN FRIENDSHIP
Korean town in Angeles City is located in Friendship Avenue. You can enjoy unli buffets and unli samgyupsal with your friends and family. There are a lot of Korean stores and restaurants to choose from, depending on what and where you would like to buy or dine.
Unlimited food and ice tea are usually included inPHP 500 – 1000 per person buffets. Even though prices are little bit expensive, the food is delicious and you’ll enjoy it even more with family and friends.
2. MILA´S TOKWA BABOY
Tokwa’t baboy is a must-try food in Pampanga, and like we’ve said earlier, Kapampangans are known to be good cooks. Sisig is the most popular dish in Angeles City. It’s a dish made of sliced ears and head of the pig mixed with fried onions and chili.
It´s served with rice and calamansi. This restaurant is always full and maybe you need to book in advance. It’s our source of our favorite sisig in town!
3. SUSIE´S CUISINE
We love this place for local food. Our favorites here are palabok, empanada, halo-halo and ube. In Susie´s, you will find different Kampangan options. Prices are very affordable and definitely, it is one of the best restaurants in Angeles City.
4. MISTER FROSTY
Our favorite local restaurant quality-price in Angeles City. The food is delicious, big portions and very affordable prices. Good for adults and also great menu if you are traveling with kids. Our favorite choices are sisig and sinigang!
5. CAMALIG
Pizzas here are great and we really love their style! It’s located in city center and it’s perfect for visiting with a few friends and ordering their pizzas and beer buckets. Food is delicious and the staff is very welcoming too. You’ll love it here.
6. TOLL HOUSE
We have been in the Tool house a few times already and kids love it. Our little one loves ordering baked macaroni. For us, it’s lengua and steak with mushrooms sauces are our favorite. Prices are affordable here, too. There are a few branches in Nepo, SM and close to city center.
7. MESA
It’s one of Rachel’s favorite restaurants in Angeles City. Prices here are a little bit expensive but the food is really delicious. It’s ideal to try the classic food in Pampanga first like sisig. There are multiple choices like prawns and kare–kare and all of them are great.
8. CHOWKING
It’s actually a fastfood which is open anytime. They offer Chinese food which we love. Chowking is one of the best restaurants in Angeles City and we visit it quite often. Dumplings, siomai, tofu and the soups are our favorite to eat there. Prices are affordable and you can always find one open in Angeles City, or even in most parts of the Philippines.
9. PICCOLO RESTAURANT
Piccolo Restaurant is located at Prime Asia Hotel in Angeles City. It’s an Italian Restaurant in Pampanga that we can’t miss to include in the list of best restaurants in Angeles City. Seafood here is tasty and their most popular dish is Gnocchi pasta creamy gorgonzola cheese sauce with walnuts.
Risottos are delicious and for dessert, we recommend you to try their tiramisu. Prices here are expensive since it’s a high quality restaurant that serves premium dishes.
10. NEW YORK’S PIZZA
In New York’s Pizza, you’ll find delicious pasta dishes and of course, their pizza is amazing. We loved this pizza restaurant. Prices are more expensive than local restaurants in Angeles City but it’s totally worth it to try.
11. SHAKEYS RESTAURANT
Another famous pizza restaurant in the Philippines is Shakey’s.Rachel´s favorite is pizza, and she always craves for it. Shakey’s is one our favorite restaurants in Angeles City for delicious pizza.
Their service is good and their food portions are awesome! It´s a little bit expensive compared to other local restaurants but you must try it!
12. COFFEE ACADEMY
It´s our favorite coffee shop in Balibago, where there are different options for coffee and smoothies. And when our internet isn´t working, it’s the place that we choose to work in. This is an affordable coffee shop and they are open for 24 hours which we love. You can visit the place anytime!

13. CHAMPAS
You can find Champas in SM Clark. It’s a Mexican restaurant and we have to say it’s a place that we visit more often when we go by ourselves. Rachel loves quesadillas and Ruben loves the fact of having really cold beer.
14. ZARK’S BURGER
You’ll find here the best burgers in town and based on Ruben’s word, it’s the best quality and price in Angeles City. We agree it’s one of the best restaurant in Angeles City for burgers and fries. Portions are big and there are always great deals!
15. BINALOT
There are a few of Binalot restaurants in Pampanga, serving Filipino choices. We visit it so often in Nepo Quad. Our favorites are lechon and sisig. They serve the food with tomato and rice wrapped in banana leaf. Prices start from 100PHP or $2 USD.
16. JOLLIBEE
Of course, when going with a kid, you can’t avoid visiting Jollibee. It’s a famous fast food chain in the Philippines. Usually, we order burgers and French fries here, and our little one always asks for Spaghetti. Prices here are so affordable, as low as PHP50 or $1 USD.
17. BON CHON
It’s a kind of Korean fast food in the Philippines. There are dishes like fried chicken and fish. The food here is delicious and we love the presentation of their food. Our favorite is their dessert, colorful ice cream served with coconut.
18. PATCHARAWAN’S THAI RESTAURANT
The owner of the Patcharawan restaurant is a Thai anda resident in Angeles City for years. She finds herself happy cooking at the casual-looking restaurant, serving authentic Thai cuisine.
After visiting Thailand, we really loved ordering our favorite dishes: Papaya Salad, Pad Thai, Tom Yum, a delicious soup and for dessert Sticky rice with mango, which are also served in this restaurant. Everything was delicious!
19. ROB’S GASTRO PUB
If you’re looking for a clean British Pub with great food and international liquors and beers and live music, go to Rob’s Gastro Pub! Prices here are a little bit expensive but it’s great to visit here at night with your friends, to have drinks while catching up.
20. CISAN’S
It’s located in Nepo Quad and you’ll find a mix of Southeast Asian food from Vietnam, Thailand, and Japan. We loved here the Thai choices especially the dessert which was sticky rice with mango. Prices are little bit more expensive than other local restaurants but you’ll definitely love their great food!
21. RASOI INDIAN RESTAURANT
You can find a great selection of vegetarian dishes from North India in Rasoi Indian Restaurant. Our favorite was vegetable samosa and Naan. There are also meat and fish dishes mixed with Indian spices that reminded us of our last trips to India and Sri Lanka.
22. CAFE NOELLE
It’s located at SM Clark and food here is delicious! Prices here are just fine for what you eat. The internet connection is good as well and we have worked here a few times already while having a coffee in Cafe Noelle.
23. CAFE MIDORI
You can enjoy in Café Midori for unlimited dinner and drinks for 1000 PHP. Cafe Midori is located in Clark, and an ideal place for a private party. It’s little bit far from Angeles City, though.
24. FORTUNE HONG KONG SEAFOOD RESTAURANT
This is a fine dining Chinese restaurant. Their soups and noodles are our favorite. Actually, there are a few branches of this restaurant in Angeles City. It’s one of our favorite Chinese Restaurants in the Philippines and yes, we love Chinese food!
25. SUMO SAN JAPANESE RESTAURANT
It’s located in SM Mall. We tried delicious menu and all the food was really delicious. Especially sushi and Rachel loved the noodles. Prices are expensive but totally worth it to try!
26. BANH MI
After our trip in Vietnam where we had yummy Vietnamese cuisine, it’s good to see a Bahn Mi store in Pampanga. We went there to try Banh mi, Pho and Vietnamese coffee. It’s located very close to Angeles City Center and prices here are affordable as well.
STREET FOOD
In Angeles, you shouldn´t forget to try our favorite street food; mami, lugaw, fish and chicken ball, hot dog and calamari/calamares are the most popular street food.
If you dare, you can also try balut, a developing bird embryo that was boiled. It´s always a challenge for Filipinos to make foreigners try it. Prices are very affordable, and you can have it as dinner for $1-2 USD or even less!
