Nestled at a height of 1,550 metres, Verbier attracts winter sports enthusiasts of all levels. It links to the 4 Vallées, forming part of Switzerland’s largest ski area boasting over 400 kilometres of pistes to explore.
The alpine town is a favourite among advanced skiers but has accessible nursery slopes for beginners. Intermediate skiers will find excellent and varied terrains in Verbier to help them hone their skills. Adventurous intermediates can travel across the 4 Vallées, which often involves navigating through tricky runs.
Given its epic off-piste, Verbier is one of Europe’s top resorts to take on extreme snowboarding. It hosts the final stage of the Freeride World Tour, which sees some of the world’s best freeride skiers and snowboarders compete on the slopes.
Nestled in the centre of the 4 Vallees Ski area, Verbier is part of the French-speaking region of Switzerland’s Valais canton. As one of the world’s top destinations for skiing, Verbier has numerous luxury ski resorts for an even more enjoyable ski getaway in Switzerland.
