HOW TO GET FROM EL DORADO AIRPORT TO USAQUEN
BUS FROM BOGOTA AIRPORT TO USAQUEN
If you are going by bus from Bogota airport to Usaquen. You will have to get from the airport to Portal El Dorado station with the free Feeder Shuttle (The Alimentador 16-14 Airport) from El Dorado airport.
FEEDER BUS 16-14 BOGOTA AIRPORT TO PORTAL DORADO
Feeder Bus (The ALimentador Bus) 16-14 operates from Bogota airport Monday to Saturday from 5 am to 10 45 pm and Sunday from 6 am to 9 45 pm. The free Feeder shuttle (Green Color) is leaving the airport every 10-20 minutes. Check here The Feeder Shuttle route and schedule!
To get the free shuttle from Bogota airport to Portal El Dorado you can get at the First Floor of Terminal 1 outside in the Exit Number 6.
TRANSMILENIO BUS K86 FROM BOGOTA AIRPORT TO USAQUEN
At Portal Eldorado if you are going from Bogota airport to Usaquen as we did looking for a great area for accommodation. You will have to take the Bus K86 running every 10 minutes going from Bogota airport to Usaquen. Check here Bus K86 route and schedule!
The Bus K86 is also goes to Chapinero area where you can transfer to Usaquen around 90th Street. The total bus travel time from Bogota airport to Usaquen getting Feeder Shuttle and Bus K86 is around 1 hour and 20 minutes including the waiting time.
The total bus fare from Bogota airport to Usaquen area is around $2 USD Transmilenio Bus fare is 2400 COP plus 5000 COP Tullave Card mandatory to ride the Transmilenio in Bogota.

You can’t pay in cash in the Transmilenio Bus in Bogota. You will have to buy Tullave Card that costs 5000 COP and later you top up credit. You can buy Tullave Card in the Transmilenio Bus Station and also in the airport.

The taxi fare from Bogota airport to Usaquen is around 60000 COP which is $12-15 USD fixed price in white taxis. The taxis are totally safe and you can hire them in the exit of the Terminal easy to see them.
The total travel time from Dorado International Airport to Usaquen is around 20-30 minutes depending on the traffic. The taxi can be a great option if you are traveling in a group or bringing too much luggage.

BUS P500 CHEAPEST WAY FROM BOGOTA AIRPORT TO USAQUEN
The cheapest way from Bogota airport to Usaquen is by Bus P500. The Bus P500 operates from 4 am to 11 pm from Monday to Saturday and from 5 am to 10 pm on Sundays and public holidays. Check here Bus P500 schedule and route!
You can get the P500 Bus line in Terminal 1 in Exit Number 7. You have to pay with Tullave Card like the Transmilenio Bus as we mentioned above 5000 COP to buy and later you will have to pay 2200 COP (just little bit cheaper than Transmilenio).
The travel time from Bogota airport to Usaquen is around 40 minutes without traffic you can transfer in Centro Andino area. You can also transfer with the Transmilenio if you wish to get to Usaquen around Chapinero area in both cases around 90th Street around Parque Virrey.
BEST WAY FROM EL DORADO AIRPORT TO USAQUEN
The best way from Bogota airport to Usaquen for $10-12 USD is by Cabify and Uber. If you go by taxi could be around $12-15 USD or getting a private transfer only $12 USD for 2 people and $15 USD up to 4 people.
If you are going on a budget you can get the Transmilenio to Usaquen getting the Free Shuttle Bus going to Portal Station. You will take 1 hour and 30 minutes but you will only pay $2 USD.

STREET FOOD TOUR BOGOTA (LA MESA BOGOTA FOOD TOUR)
We joined to a Bogota Food Tour experience with La Mesa Tours and we really loved it. We had a great cultural and food tour around La Candelaria. We tried the most typical Colombian street food, breakfast, drinks and with a great guide explaining about history, food and facts about Colombia. The street food tour had several stops from 5-7 depending how much time you want to stay and how hungry and thirsty you are. We tried the delicious hot chocolate with cheese, empanadas and arepas as the most popular street food in Colombia.
We tried delicious fruits, juices, chicha (an alcoholic drink). And to finish the tour we had the delicious Colombian Tamales and Obleas as dessert with Colombian coffee!
ATMS AND CASH IN COLOMBIA
The official currency of Colombia is called Colombian Peso (COP). And $1 USD=5000 COP. ATMs are available and it is also advisable to withdraw as much as you can because of fees for foreign cars.
