There are daily buses and trains going from Geneva to Lausanne. If you drive from Annecy, Grenoble to Lausanne and from main of the places around like Lyon in France will be 2-3 hours by car.

LAUSANNE ITINERARY DAILY BUDGET TRAVEL

There are many ways to explore this Lausanne itinerary. You can go walking around Lausanne or getting public transportation for around 2€ a single bus ticket if you are visiting the lake. You can go by bicycle too and electric scooter since there are many ways for this.

There are meals in Lausanne at local restaurants for as low as €20-30. Those who want to eat something a bit fancier can have a meal at a mid-range restaurant for around €40-60 or even less if you have someone to split the bill with. Dinner at a top restaurant in Lausanne can go for €70-150.

One of my favorite road trips from Lausanne is Monthey two hours driving. And where I was exploring the little villages with so impressive views. Perfect for the weekend in summer since is quiet and busy in the winter with the resorts for skiing.

24. ANNECY

Annecy is one of the best road trips from Geneva and Lausanne. It will take 2 hours driving and the town has many things to do like enjoying bars and restaurants, cruising with a boat or relaxing around the lake. A perfect stop before going to Switzerland.
