HOW TO GET TO KAWHAGAN ISLAND
You will have to get to El Carmen. From General Luna to El Carmen is 700-900 PHP one way in a tricycle or even renting for the whole day negotiating the price can be around 1000-1200 PHP and the total travel time can be 45 minutes.
Or you can get a shared tricycle for 40 PHP from General Luna to Dapa port. From Dapa Port to El Carmen the tricycle is 300-400 PHP one way.
KAWHAGAN ISLAND ENTRANCE FEE
The island hopping to Sugba Lagoon, Kawhagan Island and Pamomoan Beach for 2000-2800 PHP per boat for maximum 6 people. You will have to add docking and entrance fees. Docking fees are 150 PHP per boat stop and 50 PHP entrance fee in the islands.
The total price of the boat can be 3500 PHP to split between all of you. Sometimes is better booking online since they organize food and transportation but if you go on a group can be cheaper.
Make sure you buy food in Dapa port to bring to your island hopping. If not you can ask the boatmen where you can get your lunch and they will organize for you but it will be more expensive.
KAWHAGAN ISLAND
Kawhagan Island might be famous as a side trip for tourists who are visiting the Sugba Lagoon, but this island is definitely a worthy visit. It is located in Brgy. Caub, Del Carmen in Siargao. Its other side is a wide sandbar while the other is where you can enjoy chilling under the trees.
It’s included in the island hopping going to Sugba Lagoon and we totally recommend you to visit for taking pictures, playing voleyball or just swimming around. One of our top 3 Siargao tourist spots for sure!
The total time of the tour will last from 8 am until the sunset. And later in Kawhagan Sand Bar and in Pamomoan Beach.
Kawhagan Island is just 3 minutes boat ride to go Pamomoan Beach where you can also play volleyball and even have a beer or some food since there is a resort in this island. There are a few places where you can relax on the shade or the whole beach for yourself since nobody was there at that time. We stayed for an hour before going back to Del Carmen.
PAMOMOAN BEACH
From Pamomoan Beach to Del Carmen is another 40 minutes boat ride where you can enjoy the sunset on the way. Once you are in Del Carmen after an amazing Island hopping day you can grab or eat food.
Pamomoan Beach is located in Kangbangyo Island, Del Carmen, Siargao. Good for swimming and the beach offers good food at the restaurant. Pamomoan Beach is full of coconuts and is small so you can go walking around everywhere.
SUGBA LAGOON
Sugba Lagoon is the most popular place to visit in this island hopping. You can stay for 3 hours in Sugba Lagoon then you can rent your snorkeling gear and paddle board for 200 PHP. It’s too crowded but you can have lunch since they have tables for rent and also they sell food.
MORE ISLAND HOPPING IN SIARGAO
The tour to Sohoton Natural Park from General Luna can cost 2000 PHP in an organized tour included lunch and entrance fees. You can go cheaper if you rent a boat joining with a few people or going to Dapa and doing the adventure by yourself.
