BEST TIME TO VISIT LAGUNA
If you don’t know, the Philippines has only 2 seasons- wet and dry season. You should be prepared with the weather in Laguna because it is hot and humid during the months of March to May, and can extend up to June!
However, the wet season starts from June to November. But due to climate change (which affects the Philippines the most), the rainy season can start as early as May.
We recommend that you visit Laguna during the month of January, as the weather is expected to be the coldest of the year plus you won’t compete with the locals during December’s holiday rush (traffic and all).

DAILY BUDGET TRAVEL IN LAGUNA
There are many affordable places to eat and stay near Manila and Laguna. The cost of living in the country itself is quite low compared to other countries. You can expect to find cheap meals at local eateries for less than 100 PHP while a hearty, three-course meal for two in a mid-range restaurant costs around 700 PHP, which is only $14 USD.

1. HIDDEN VALLEY SPRINGS
Located in the middle of tropical rainforest, Hidden Valley Springs is one of the most famous Laguna tourist spots for families and big groups of people.

Want to take a dip in the Seven Lakes of San Pablo City? These seven lakes include Sampaloc Lake, Bunot Lake, Mohicap Lake, Palakpakin Lake, Calibato Lake, Pandin Lake, and Yambo Lake.
Sampaloc Lake is the largest while Mohicap Lake is the smallest. You can go trekking, swimming, cycling, jogging, rafting, and sightseeing on these seven lakes located in San Pablo, Laguna.
3. LAKE CALIRAYA

4. LAGUNA BAY
Also called Laguna de Bay, it is the largest lake in the Philippines. Though it is not as clean as before, you can still go sightseeing here, fishing, or swimming if you’d like.
5. BATO SPRINGS RESORT

9. TAYTAY FALLS
This waterfall is a nice place to relax in Laguna. The water here comes from Mt. Banahaw, and it is clear and cold, so it’s perfect to visit during the summer.

10. HULUGAN FALLS
This breathtaking waterfall is one of Laguna tourist spots that anyone would like to visit. 15. JAPANESE GARDEN
This serene and peaceful garden was made to honor the soldiers who died during World War II. There are lots of shrines and trees inside the garden, so it’s the perfect place to relax and have a breath of fresh air in Laguna. There’s also a playground where kids can play.

16. ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST CHURCH
Most commonly known as Calamba Church, St. John the Baptist Church is actually the oldest church in Calamba, Laguna. This church boasts a beautiful Baroque architecture that is loved by locals and tourists.

17. MT. MAKILING
Mt. Makiling is also one of the most famous Laguna Tourist spots especially for those who want to hike. It is actually a dormant volcano which rises to 1090 meters above sea level. The volcano is also a popular spot for educational trips.
It is located on the border of Laguna and Batangas.
18. MT. BANAHAW
This potentially active volcano is a 3-peaked volcano complex and is the tallest mountain in Region IV-A Calabarzon. Mt. Banahaw is known to be a holy mountain, so pilgrims visit here to gather and pray during the Holy Week.

19. NAGCARLAN UNDERGROUND CEMETERY
This underground cemetery is a national museum and one of the historical landmarks of the country, built in 1845. It served as a public burial site during the Spanish colonization era in the Philippines. Its underground crypt only for Spanish friars, elite Catholics, and distinguished town citizens.

20. ENCHANTED KINGDOM
Another one of Laguna tourist spots you should never miss is Enchanted Kingdom, or EK for short. It’s one of the popular amusement parks in the country, where you can enjoy several rides and attractions such as the 7D Interactive Motion Theatre, Agila the Eksperience, Air Pterodactyl, Rio Grande Rapids, Roller Skater, and many more.

21. TSINELAS LANE
Located in Liliw, Laguna, also known as the “Slippers Capital of the Philippines”, Tsinelas Lane is one of the must-visit Laguna tourist spots. It is a whole street full of slipper stores and stalls that sell thousands of different kinds of footwear. Your PHP 1000 can get you more than 2 pairs!
22. PILA HERITAGE SITE
This famous heritage site in Pila, Laguna is a usual spot for educational trips in Laguna as it is declared as a national historical landmark. The place looks like you are back to the Spanish era in the Philippines, where you can see old houses, churches, and other establishments.

23. RIZAL SHRINE
This is a replica of the original two-story, Spanish-colonial style house where Dr. Jose Rizal, the Philippine national hero, was born. You can find many things inside that were related to the early life and adulthood of Dr. Jose Rizal. It’s a popular spot for educational trips too.

24. NUVALI
Nuvali is both an eco-park and residential area located in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. 25. PAETE TOWN
And last but not the least, one of Laguna tourist spots that you should consider exploring is the whole Paete Town. It’s a 4th class municipality in Laguna known as the Woodcarving Capital of the Philippines. If you are a fan of artistic woodcrafts, you can find thousands of pieces here for affordable prices.
