Paliton Beach Siquijor (Travel Guide)

Paliton Beach Siquijor in our opinion is the best beach in Siquijor Island. Palilton Beach is called little Boracay and its becoming more touristic is still a magical place where you can enjoy the white sand and clear waters, snorkeling and a beautiful sunset in Siquijor Island.

Siquijor Island was called Isla Del Fuego (Island of Fire). You can also visit Salagdoong Beach and Cambugahay Falls.

How to get to Paliton Beach Siquijor

To get to Paliton Beach Siquijor you should know is located in San Juan Area where most of the accommodation is in Siquijor Island. Paliton Beach is only one kilometer distance from the main road.

You can go walking distance around 2 kilometers depending where you are staying in San Juan. If not you can get a tricycle or renting a motorbike (around 400 PHP per day) if you are staying far. We chose tricycle since we were three of us Rachel, Han and me plus our backpack.

Paliton Beach is 10 kilometers far from Siquijor town which is 20 minutes driving and 20 kilometers far (40 minutes driving) from Larena Port and Lazi town that they are other places where you can stay in Siquijor.

Paliton Beach Enrance Fee

Once you chose your transportation in Siquijor Island. If you during the morning or afternoon you will see how clear are the colors in the water but it’s too hot at that time.

At sun set time the colors of the water aren’t so blue but you can enjoy the vibe at the sunset. It’s calm and quiet with bars offering happy hour you can get a beer for 50 PHP which is $1 USD. Similar prices for coconuts and cocktails.

There is no entrance fee at Paliton Beach but you will have to pay 50 PHP if you go to the Sanctuary for snorkeling depending if it’s high tide. Make sure you are bringing your snorkeling mask and keep clean the beach collecting your own trash and if you see around.

Where to Stay Near Paliton Beach Siquijor

There are many places to stay near Paliton Beach in San Juan Area. A nice room in a budget hotel can go from 800-1,000 PHP while some resorts offer spacious rooms for around 2,000 PHP per day. CHEAP ACCOMMODATION IN SAN JUAN AREA

LAGKAW SA SAWANG

We stayed at Lagkaw sa Sawang Homestay. Your cottage costs 750 pesos per day which is just around $15 USD.

The homestay comes with some clean towels, kitchen with plates and cutlery, and a water heater for tea, coffee or noodles. Everything was very clean and prepared with care. It is also very relaxing to chill outside the cottages. There are tables, a hammock, and palm trees all around.

So beautiful! It’s a 10 minutes away from the beach on foot but you can always rent a motorbike so you can move around the island from your resort.

JAMES HOMESTAY

Another budget place on our recommended spots on where to stay in Siquijor is James Homestay. You can book a room for two for as low as $9 USD. With that price, you’ll have a decent room with a nice bed, Wifi, shower, toiletries, and fan.

Some rooms have air conditioning and bath tubs as well. It’s even close to many establishments where you can eat or drink, as well as the airport and some tourist spots. Their guests loved the service and friendliness of their staff and owners. For that very low price, it’s already a good find!

LUXURY ACCOMMODATION IN SAN JUAN AREA

BERMUDA TRIANGLE BUNGALOWS

This place on or list of where to stay in Siquijor is famous because of the interior design of its rooms. It features a nice, cozy design that seems like a bungalow, where it got its name. It also offers beautiful views to the sea as it is just right on the beach. Their rooms are all air conditioned with a king bed, TV, attached bathroom, Wifi connection, and some appliances to make your stay even more convenient.

They don’t serve breakfast but there’s a restaurant called Baha Bar where you can dine. The guests loved the room’s style and the proximity to the beach and establishments, as well as what they call the outdoor bathroom!

Bermuda Triangle Bungalows is located at Provincial Road, Maite, San Juan, Siquijor. You can book a bungalow for as low as $60 USD per night.
