We loved the beaches in Bantayan. Bantayan island had crystal clear waters surrounding it. It was like being in a dream or being sent to tropical heaven. We spent amazing time in Bantayan Island beaches and exploring Bantayan Island tourist spots.

If you are visiting Bantayan in Cebu, you are probably coming from a trip to mainland Cebu or Malapascua. During our trip to Bantayan, we came from Malapascua. Upon reaching this island paradise in the northern end of Cebu, we really liked the vibe of Bantayan.

BEST TIME TO VISIT BANTAYAN ISLAND BEACHES

For those headed to this island paradise the best time to visit Bantayan Island beaches is from March to May as this is the dry season here. The weather from October to November is also quite pleasant and much cooler than those summer months.

From June to August, despite being some of the rainiest months in Bantayan Island, tend to bring hot weather and humidity with the drizzles too.

Beaches in Bantayan Santa Fe Area

1. SUGAR BEACH

Sugar beach is really quiet and is undeniably beautiful. There are few places to stay in, like cottages which are just a few meters from the beach. It was so nice to just hear the sound of the wind and the waves as we rested on our cottage. Sugar beach is for us our favorite Bantayan Island beaches especially the colors at noon.

Make sure you check the tide in Bantayan to enjoy the high tide in Bantayan.

2. PARADISE BEACH 

There are beautiful beaches like Paradise Beach in Bantayan Island is not far where most of the resorts are located. We enjoyed flying our drone, swimming, and walking around the beach. 

The color of the water is blue and it’s so calm! Close to Paradise beach, you can visit Ogtong Cave, a small cave with a natural pool inside.

3. KOTA BEACH

Kota Beach is perfect to walk around and enjoy the sand bar. We loved visiting and sunset and flying the drone. It’s full of locals and if you continue walking you will get to Sugar Beach. Where most of the accommodations are in Santa Fe in Bantayan Island. You can’t miss it in the list of beaches in Bantayan.

4. VIRGIN ISLAND

From Bantayan Island, another wonderful destination can be reached through a boat and is perfect island hopping. Virgin Island, also known as Silion, is a part of Santa Fe and is right next to Hilantagaan Island.

Virgin Island entrance fee 500 PHP. You can stay on the island for the whole day. If you’re traveling in a group, only 2 people need to pay the whole fee and the rest only cost 100 PHP. So you can divide the cost among yourselves.

5. HILANTAGAAN ISLAND

Hilantagaan Island is included in the island hopping in Bantayan with Virgin Island. White sand and blue water are waiting for you just 30 minutes boat ride from Kota Beach in Bantayan Island. Make sure you bring yoru snorkeling gear to swim around Hilantagaan Island.

6. BALIDBID LAGOON

Balidbid Lagoon is located between the port in Bantayan and the fish market. You can get to Balidbid Lagoon renting a scooter, getting a tricycle from Santa Fe or with the island hopping in Bantayan Island. Balidbid Lagoon entrance fee is 20 PHP.

Where To Stay in Bantayan Island

SF CANTINA

We stayed at Santa Fe Cantina Resto one of the beautiful Bantayan Island Resorts. We slept in a cottage close to the beach with all the comfort that we needed, from hot water to air conditioning. The place was just a few meters from the beach. It was so nice to just hear the sound of the wind and the waves as we rested on our cottage.
