The best time to visit El Nido is during summer. Summer in the Philippines starts from March to mid-May. Just expect the prices to be high because it is peak season. Also expect the number of tourists to be high during this time.

Getting to the Airport Coron/El Nido from the Town

You will get to Busuanga Airport 30-40 minutes van ride from Coron town. Prices will be 150 PHP per person. From El Nido town to El Nido airport is only 5 kilometers and it will take 10 minutes to get there by tricycle. Price will be around 150-200 PHP the whole tricycle.

Coron to El Nido travel time by plane. Will be similar than the fast ferry Coron to El Nido. Since you have to go to the airport with time enough. And also you have to go back to the town. For sure will be more comfortable!

If you want to get from Coron to El Nido by ferry. It’s one of the main routes of travelers in Palawan. There are a few options fast ferry and slow boat with different schedules and prices.

CORON TO EL NIDO FERRY

If you want to get from Coron to El Nido by ferry. We totally recommend the fast ferry. It’s the one we usually take to from Coron to El Nido and vice versa. The travel time by fast boat is around 4-5 hours for 3500 PHP and you can book online.

It depends on the weather. Sometimes you will not find seats available. Make sure you book in advance online since is the same price online as in the port or offices around.

CORON TO EL NIDO FERRY SCHEDULE

Coron to El Nido ferry schedule have a few options. The first fast ferry leaving Coron is at 7 am with Jomalia Shipping Lines and it will get to El Nido around 11 am. We recommend you this schedule. So you could make the most of the day. 

More ferry options schedule 11 20 am with Phimal Fast Ferry getting to El Nido at 5 20 pm. And 12 noon with Montenegro Shipping and getting to El Nido 4 pm. You can check the below prices and schedule!

SLOW BOAT CORON TO EL NIDO

You can get the slow boat. It will cost around 1400 PHP and it takes 6-8 hours. It depends on how is the weather and the wind. Bunso and Jessabel are the companies offering this service.

SLOW CORON TO EL NIDO SCHEDULE

There is a daily slow boat from Coron to El Nido in the morning. The ferry leaves at 7 30 am. It will have around 80-100 passengers so make sure you go there on time to the port. You can’t book online the ticket.

HOW TO GET FROM CORON PORT TO CORON TOWN

If you want to get from Coron Port to Coron town. There are two options: walking and tricycle. There are only two kilometers distance and it will take 20 minutes walk or 5 minutes with the tricycle and the price will be around 50-100 PHP. If you stay outside Coron town there are hotels that offers pick up service.

How to get from El Nido Port to El Nido Town

If you want to get from El Nido Port to El Nido town will take you only 5-10 minutes walking.

If you are staying in Las Cabanas will be around 5 kilometers away. If you go to El Nido Bus Terminal or Corong Corong will be 2 kilometers and a tricycle costs 100 PHP.

CORON TO EL NIDO EXPEDITION

And if you have time, budget and you want to have the best experience of your life. The best way to go from Coron to El Nido is an expedition tour. It will take 3-4 days.

You will enjoy paradise islands for yourself and your friends in the expedition. The food is amazing and you will not miss any sunrise and sunset.

Prices are around 15000-25000 PHP. or $300-500 USD per person. It depends on the expedition tour that you choose 3-4 days and how many people are joining.

WHERE TO STAY IN EL NIDO

There are a few areas to stay in El Nido. I recommend you to book at least a few days in advance since it can be crowded.

EL NIDO TOWN

First of all El Nido town is the most convenient since you are close to everything. If you need internet the connection will be better and there are bars and restaurants around. Our choice was Sea Cocoon and we have been there twice. But there are places more on a budget. Check out their place!

CORONG CORONG BEACH AND LAS CABAÑAS

If you like quiet and calm the area of Corong Corong Beach and Las Cabañas are perfect for this. It’s only busier at sunset time. You can rent a kayak and going around. From here you are only 5-10 minutes tricycle ride from El Nido.

LIO BEACH AND NACPAN BEACH

You can stay at Lio Beach 20 minutes drive from El Nido and Nacpan Beach that they are outside El Nido town. In Nacpan there are a few places to stay on a budget. The distance from here to El Nido town is around 40 minutes driving.

IN FRONT OF CADLAO

The other area is in front of Cadlao. It’s only 10-15 minutes walking to the town but you have to cross the beach. There are tricycles offering a free ride but not so efficient the service. And the internet connection works really bad and if it’s rainy will be dirty to walk around. But the area is quiet and if you stay in Cadlao Resort the views are insane. Click here to check their places and availability!
