BEST TIME TO VISIT LA UNION
La Union has two kinds of seasons- the dry season from November to April and the wet season from May to October. The best time to visit La Union is during dry season. Especially from December to February when temperatures are much cooler and touring will most likely not be interrupted by rains and will not be really hot going around.

How to get from La Union to Vigan
How to get from La Union to Vigan by Bus
If you want to get from La Union to Vigan. It will take a 2 hours and a half bus ride that costs around 250 PHP. There are hourly bus rides from San Fernando and La Union. From La Union to San Fernando you can ride a jeepney cheaper than a tricycle to get the bus going to Vigan. There are buses from Partas coming from Manila and Clark going to Laoag and Vigan that will stop in La Union and San Fernando.
Once you get to Vigan Bus station you can go walking distance 10 minutes to Vigan Plaza where you can start your tour around the city. The bus station is quite close to city center since Vigan is so small.

How to get from La Union to Vigan by Private Transportation
If you want to get from La Union to Vigan by car or van. It can take around 2 hours to get there. There are a few spots where you can stop on the way to take pictures if you aren’t in a hurry before Vigan.
