Best time to visit San Vicente Palawan

San Vicente Palawan is a great destination to visit when traveling in Palawan. The best time to visit San Vicente Palawan is during summer. Summer in the Philippines starts from March to mid-May. Just expect the prices to be high because it is peak season. Also expect the number of tourists to be high during this time. You can also visit San Vicente Palawan from December to February as the skies are clear and rain is minimal. Being the months of June to October the rainy season in Palawan we would say is better to avoid. But even in those months you can get sunny days.

How to get to San Vicente Palawan by Plane

If you want to get to San Vicente Palawan by plane. There is a new Airport in San Vicente since June 2017. There are daily flights available from Manila and Clark International Airport with Philippine Airlines. One way costs around 2000 PHP for an hour flight.

San Vicente Airport is just 3 kilometers away from the market and Long Beach. So transportation will be less than 10 minutes to get there by tricycle. Prices for a tricycle is around 250 PHP depending how far you are going from the airport. Or they can charge you 80 PHP per person if you are traveling alone and you shared the tricycle.

There are also charter flights coming from Puerto Princesa and Coron. You will have to book your seat in advance since the plane is small and there aren’t many passengers.

How to get to San Vicente Palawan by Bus from Puerto Princesa

If you want to get to San Vicente Palawan by bus from Puerto Princesa. You have to go San Jose Bus Terminal that you can go by jeepney 15 PHP or by tricycle 100 PHP depending which part from Puerto Princesa you are coming from. There are only two buses leaving to San Vicente Palawan from San Jose Bus Terminal. First one early morning can be around 6-7 am leaving. We went there 5 30 am to make sure we get the bus but finally left around 7 am. There is another bus leaving around noon 12-1 pm. Just make sure you are on time and wait for the departure. It takes 5 hours to reach San Vicente Palawan and the price is around 200 PHP.

How to get to San Vicente Palawan by Van from Puerto Princesa

The van is faster than the bus and it will take you less than 4 hours to reach San Vicente Palawan. Prices are around 300 PHP and the vans start leaving from 5 am to 5 pm basically when they are full.

How to get to San Vicente Palawan from El Nido

If you want to get to San Vicente Palawan from El Nido by bus. There is a bus going to Roxas. It takes 3 hours and a half. From Roxas you have to get a local bus going to San Vicente Palawan that can take another 1 hour and a half. To make this is possible you have to catch the first bus going to Roxas from El Nido. The local bus going to San Vicente leaves around 11 am and you have to be on time to get it. Once you are close to San Vicente Palawan the road is in really bad conditions.

There are also vans leaving from El Nido to San Vicente Palawan a few of them during the day 4 am, 1 pm and 6 pm. But you will have to ask the schedule and prices in the El Nido Bus Terminal since they don’t have daily departures.

How to get to San Vicente Palawan from Port Barton by Boat

If you want to get to San Vicente Palawan by boat. There are private boats going to San Vicente from Port Barton. Prices are around 2000 PHP per boat good enough for 4-5 people and travel time is around one hour. You have to ask the boatmen and as much people can go on the boat it will be cheaper.

You can also get to San Vicente Palawan from Port Barton by van. You first need to get a van going to Roxas and changing to another van going to Port Barton. It will take longer since you have to wait until is full. And there are not exact schedule for this.

But there are also places to stay around long beach which is 14 kilometers. You can find prices around 800 PHP per night in a dorm. You can get a room with air condition around 1200-1500 PHP.
