Spain is famously know as a country rich with wine, good food, great people, its scenic beauty and its vast coastline. These are the reason why tourist choose to visit and enjoy the country. There are a lot of things to do in Spain and hope you enjoy your stay.

Is it safe/difficult to travel in Spain
Good news for everybody, Spain is one of the safest country in Europe. But since Spain is the 3rd on the list of the most visited country it attracts people to do bad things. You should always be cautious and check your belongings most specially when you are traveling alone. Theft’s are usually in places where there are a lot of people or tourist. But in our experience we never encountered this problem and that we totally enjoyed our stay in Spain. So yes, it is safe to travel in Spain.
Best time to visit in Spain
The country has four lovely season, and loveliest which are spring and fall. In these periods it is considered the best time to visit Spain. Summer might get too hot and winter might get to cold. So from the months of March to May is where Spring falls. And Fall is on the month of September to November. The season of Spring and Fall is the best time to visit because of its filled with sunshine and tourist will be delighted to stay in the country.
Visa in Spain
Good news for everyone there are 62 countries that belong to those who can enter the country visa free. With the countries who need visa to be able to enter the country, you must apply to the embassy or consulate of the country. Spain is under the Schengen visa. There are country that should apply for visa within the arrival. Cost may differ depending on where you’re from.
Cash in Spain
Euro is one of the most known and important currencies all over the world. €1 is equivalent to $1.16. ATM’s in Spain is used more often to buy stuff rather to have cash on hand. Per usual it is advice to use ATM’s inside banks or safe establishments rather than those outside for added security measure. And my advice to you is to exchange your money beforehand for less hassle or to just use your ATM or credit card while going around the country
Internet in Spain
WiFi is very common nowadays you can access internet for free, it may be in your hotel rooms. You just only have to ask for the password and your good to go.
There are 4 major network operator in the country and these are Movistar, Vodafone, Orange and Yoigo. It is advised that you buy you sim’s in the Airport or the network provider itself the starter sim and it will cost you €10-20. An 3Gb of data can cost you for €10.
Food budget travel in Spain
You can spend €5-10 in food for a meal. You can try for a street food named bocadillo it is a sandwich made with Spanish bread and the cost would be €1.50 you can pair it with coffee or tea for €1.30. You can also try churros, did you know that churros originated in Spain, you can find churros at breakfast time. There are beer and free tapas especially in Andalucia where you can get your beer and small snack for €2. If you want to have dinner in a fine restaurant it will cost you €10-20.
Accommodation budget in Spain
There are many budget option for accommodation in Spain. If you are really in a tight budget for accommodation, you can sleep in a dorm room for €15-30. And there are also AirBnB that cost only €20-40. This budget for accommodation will vary according to how much luxurious you want to be.
Tour/Entrance Fees in Spain
The capital of Spain is Madrid and it is famous for football. You can also check out our Madrid trip, there are a lot of things to do in Madrid. For example you can visit Plaza Cibeles. This is an iconic plaza that is a must seen in Spain. It architectural style of Neo-classical architecture will make you love the place, you can admiere for free. The Royal Palace of Madrid is one of the beautiful and historical site in the country has an entrance fee of €10 where you will enjoy a guide tour and amazing views from the balcony.
You can also visit La Giralda it is the bell tower of the Cathedral in Seville it was registered as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987, and the entrance fee would be €8. And you can also visit some of Spain’s beautiful museum, El Prado is the most famous museum in Spain. Inside the museum you’ll find signed copies of masterpieces by El Greco, Goya, and many more. The general ticket would cost you €15.
Local transportation in Spain
There are many local transportation in the country that can be a big help in your stay. Let’s start with a subway. You can buy a single ticket can be used for 5 station for €1.50-2. You can also buy unlimited passes that can be availed for €8 valid for 2 days. Another choice would be through bus, it is the most convenient way for those who want to travel all around cities in the country WiFi is available inside the bus and you’ll not be bored while traveling and the cost would be €1-2. For long distance trips buses are more affordable than train since AVE is a high speed train connecting the largest cities in Spain and prices are high.
Budget Travel in Spain per day
A minimum daily budget in Spain per day is €30-40. In this budget it includes an accommodation with the price for as low as €20-30 if you want to stay low key sleeping in budget hotels or hostels. For your daily food budget, a total of €10 would be your minimum. And the rest is for transportation and fees for tours. This is only a minimum budget for Spain, this will vary depending on how much you want to spend and how much luxurious you want your stay to be.
