The cheapest way from Montezuma to Monteverde is by bus plus ferry. First you will have to ride a local bus from Montezuma Beach to Cobano and Cobano to Paquera Ferry Port, catch the ferry and the bus from Puntarenas to Monteverde.
From Puntarenas Ferry Terminal to Puntarenas Bus Terminal you will have to walk 20 minutes or get a taxi since there is 2 kilometers distance.
