Barbados Cutters are easily some of the most popular Bajan sandwich snacks. You can have it for breakfast. This is basically Bajan salt bread (not salty at all.
Basically white flour bread or any healthier version if you’re more into that with your meat of choice. You can have a flying fish cutter, a ham cutter, a liver cutter, and even an egg cutter.
2. BREAD AND TWO
A popular version of the Barbados cutters, bread and two is a popular breakfast in Barbados which means bread and two Bajan fish cakes. A popular Bajan breakfast to have.
3. SWEET BREAD
Bajan breakfasts and Bajan dishes can easily include something sweet, and Sweet Bread is a typical breakfast in Barbados. It’s basically coconut cake, sweet and full of spices like nutmeg, and topped with raisins and cherries to make the flavor stronger.
You can technically have it any time of the day, as a snack and if you like starting your mornings more in a sweet note.
4. FRIED FLYING FISH

Fried like pancakes, Bajan Bakes are a mix of flour, sugar and water. Locals will usually eat their Bajan Bakes with fishcakes, porridge, cheese, cod fish, or even by adding butter to it, like regular bread.
6. BAJAN CONKIES
Another sweet Barbadian breakfast. Conkies is more popularly a cornmeal and can be substituted with sweet potato, pumpkin and coconut, wrapped in banana leaf then boiled.
Conkies were previously typically consumed on Barbados Guy Fawkes day, celebrated on the 5th of November, however now, conkies can now be eaten any time you feel like having one! Another Bajan breakfast perfect for the sweet tooth.
7. PUDDING AND SOUSE
A typical Saturday lunch for a lot of locals in Barbados, the traditional pudding and souse can be eaten as a brunch, or if you’re having a bit of a heavier breakfast in Barbados.
Perfect for when you’re planning to have a bit of a heavier day, too. Basically, Souse is pickled pork, where you use different parts like ears, feet, pig tail, or pig snout. Pudding is sweet potato steamed, with small chunks of breadfruit.
