The Best way from Sao Paulo airport to city center is by bus. The Buses Number 257 and 299 are leaving from Sao Paulo airport to city center running every 15-25 minutes starting from 5 10 am to 11 50 pm. The bus fare is 7 BRL which is €1 and you can pay by cash to the bus driver.
The bus travel time from Guarulhos airport to city center is around 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on the traffic. The buses are leaving at Arrivals Terminal 1, 2 and 3 at Sao Paulo airport you will see them easily.
Bus Number 257 from Sao Paulo airport to city stops at Tatuapé Metro Station (Metro Line 3) where you can go anywhere. The metro ticket will cost 7 BRL which is €1.
SHUTTLE BUS FROM SAO PAULO AIRPORT TO CITY CENTER
You can go by shuttle bus from Sao Paulo airport to city center. The shuttle bus fare from Sao Paulo airport to city center is 47 BRL which is €7 per person and the buses are running every 15 minutes.
The travel time by shuttle bus from Guarulhos Airport to city center is around 40 minutes plus the Metro ride could be around 1-hour minimum. You can pay with a credit card there are a few routes and later you can connect with the metro in Sao Paulo.

TRAIN FROM SAO PAULO AIRPORT TO CITY CENTER (CHEAPEST WAY)
The cheapest way from Sao Paulo airport to city center is by train and metro. There are a few trains leaving from Terminal 1 you can get Line 13-Jade. There is a Free Shuttle moving between the Terminals at the airport and CPTM where you can get the train just in case you arrive to Terminal 3 and Terminal 2. After the train you can go to Brás Metro Station or Luz in Sao Paulo.
The train are leaving from Guarulhos airport to city every 15 minutes from 5 am until midnight. The total travel time by train from Sao Paulo airport to city center is 35 minutes. To get the train if you don’t get to Terminal 1 at Sao Paulo airport there is a free shuttle going between Terminals to the Train Station (CPTM).
The train fare is 4 BRL which is less than €1 and it’s included the metro ticket (Bilhete Unico) for the same amount of money to your final destination in Sao Paulo. This is the way that I took going near Avenida Paulista a Unique Ticket valid for train and metro.
