The cheapest train from Narita airport to Tokyo city center is Keisei Main Line Limited Express. You can travel with the Keisei Main Line Limited Express from Narita to Ueno Station.
The train fare from Narita Airport to Ueno Station is 1030 JPY which is $10 USD for adults and 520 JPY which is $5 USD. The total travel time is around 1 hour and 10 minutes.
To move around Tokyo city center from Ueno can take 6-10 minutes by train and the ticket for one adult costs 160 JPY which is $1.5 USD. It can be longer and more expensive to other areas around Tokyo.
You can travel with the Keisei Skyliner from Narita to Ueno Station. The train fare from Narita Airport to Ueno Station is 2500 JPY which is $24 USD for one way. The total travel time is around 40 minutes. It’s faster but doubles the price of Keisei Main Line Limited Express.
Again later as we mentioned above you will have to get another train until your accommodation if it’s not walking distance around $2 USD for one ticket and 10-15 minutes.
JR Narita Express From Narita Airport To Downtown
The best option by train from the airport in Tokyo is by JR Narita Express. The trains are leaving every 30 minutes and it will take less than 1 hour to reach to Tokyo.
The train fare is around 3000 JPY which is $27 USD. But you can get free from Naira airport to Tokyo city center if you purchased your Japan Rail Pass.
TOKYO SHUTTLE BUS (TYO-NRT) FROM NARITA AIRPORT TO CITY CENTER
The cheapest way from Narita airport to city is the Tokyo shuttle bus. I would say is the best option too if the bus stop is near your accommodation.
There are a few shuttle buses running from Narita Airport to city center that are running every 20 minutes and it’s available 24/7. The travel time from Narita airport to Tokyo city is around 1 hour and 30 minutes.
The bus fare is 900 JPY which is $9 USD for one way if you book in advance if not is 1000 JPY during day time (half of the price for children).

If you are traveling in a group I would check Uber and private transfer from Narita airport since sometimes you can get affordable prices and it’s more comfortable to get to your hotel or Airbnb in Tokyo.
