HOW TO GET FROM SPLIT AIRPORT TO SPLIT

SHUTTLE BUS FROM SPLIT AIRPORT TO CITY CENTER (BEST WAY)

The Shuttle Bus from Split Airport to city is the best way to transfer. The shuttle bus is running every 30 minutes from Split Airport starting from 6 am until 10 pm.

The shuttle bus fare from Split Airport to city is €5 one-way ticket that you can book online.

The total travel time from Split Airport to old town is 30-40 minutes depending on the traffic. You can pay in local currency Kunas to the bus driver.

You can get the shuttle bus outside the airport on the left side and the final stop is Split Bus Station Sukoisan just 1 kilometer 10-15 walking distance from city center and the ferry port.

From the Sukoisan Bus Station, you can take local Buses Numbers 2, 9, 10 and 15 or a taxi to your final destination in Split.

PUBLIC BUS 37 FROM SPLIT AIRPORT TO CITY CENTER (CHEAPEST WAY)

The cheapest way from Split airport to old town is by public Bus Number 37 Trogir to Split. The Bus Number 37 starts in Trogir and passes by Split Airport. The final destination is Sukoisan Bus Station just 10 minutes walking distance from city center.

The Bus Number 37 runs every 20-30 minutes starting at 4 am until 11 45 pm from Split airport to city center. And the total travel time is around 50-60 minutes. You can check the schedule in their website.

The public bus 37 fare from Split airport to city center is 20 Kuna which is less than €3. It’s cheaper than a shuttle bus from Split Airport if you go on a budget. You can buy the tickets to the driver in Kunas their local currency.

From the Sukoisan Bus Station, you can take local buses numbers 2, 9, 10 and 15 or a taxi to your final destination in Split. If you are going from Split airport to Trogir the bus will take only 10 minutes since it’s only 6 kilometers distance. And the bus fare is 10 Kuna less €2.

Split Airport to Split Ferry: Brac and Hvar By Boat (Only in Summer)

You can go from Split airport to Split ferry to Brac and Hvar (only in summer) the most popular islands in the area. There are only a few boats during the day with Split Express and you will have to walk 10 minutes from the airport.

The travel time from Split Airport by boat to Split Port is 15 minutes and around 1 hour to Bol in Brac and Hvar. The boat fare from Split airport to Split ferry is 50 Kuna and 200 Kuna to Brac and Hvar.

You can buy the tickets at the airport at the ticket counter. There are also boats with Adriatic Express from Split airport but prices are higher!

By Train From Split Airport to Split

If you want to go from Split Airport to Split by train. There is no direct train and you will have to get the Bus Number 38 from Split Airport going to Kaštel Stari Train Station where you will get the train to Split train station.

It’s convenient if you are going to stay around Split train station or go to Split port nearby. The total travel time will be around 40-50 minutes and the fare is around 20 Kuna which is around €3.

You can buy a combined ticket in the airport and a few buses and trains leave during the day around every hour starting at 6 25 am until 9 pm.

We consider this option very slow (could be longer with the waiting time) and commuting compared to the Public Bus Number 37 and the Airport Shuttle Bus from Split Airport.

TAXI/UBER FROM SPLIT AIRPORT TO DOWNTOWN

The travel time by taxi from Split airport to Split city center is around 25-30 minutes and the taxi fare is 250-350 Kuna which is around €30-40. The prices and travel time aren’t fixed and it will depend on traffic and your final destination.
