How To Get From Mactan Cebu Airport to Downtown
We will make SM Cebu City the final destination. But you should know that is a similar distance to Cebu Pier if you go to Bohol and North Bus Terminal if you go to Malapascua or Bantayan Island. Only a couple of kilometers more to the South Bus Terminal if you go to Moalboal and Oslob.

The best way from Mactan Cebu Airport to Cebu City center is by Grab and private transfer. The Grab fare from Cebu airport to downtown is around $5 USD and it will take 30-40 minutes with no traffic until 1 hour if there is traffic.
You can go to SM City and also to North Bus Terminal in case you are heading to Malapascua or Bantayan Island. Or to South Bus Terminal in case you want to go to Moalboal or Oslob. Prices will be similar and travel time too.

By Taxi From Mactan Cebu Airport to City Center
The price of White taxis is 300-350 PHP and yellow taxis is 350-400 PHP. It means $6-8 USD isn’t big difference. You always make sure the price is around that amount. Sometimes taxi drivers try to ask for double of that. The travel from Mactan Cebu Airport to downtown is 30-40 minutes with no traffic until 1 hour if there is traffic.
Same way like Grab for other destinations apart from SM Cebu City these prices and travel time.

By Bus From Mactan Cebu Airport to City Center (Cheapest Way)
If you want to get from Mactan Airport to Cebu City by bus. There are two options My Bus and Sugbo Transit Bus and we will tell you the route, schedule and prices.
My Bus Cebu Airport To City Center (SM Cebu)
My bus leaves every 20 minutes from Cebu airport to SM City Cebu starting at 7 am to 10 pm daily. My Bus fare from Cebu Airport to city center at SM Cebu is 50 PHP. The total travel time from Cebu airport to SM Cebu City is around 1 hour and 15 minutes.
How To Get My Bus At Mactan Airport?
To get the bus you will have to walk 100 meters on the right side from the Arrival Terminal where the taxis are. The bus starts at Terminal 2, Terminal 1, Island Central Mall, Plaridel St, City Times Square, Mantawi Int’Drive, SM Cebu City and the last Stop is SM Cebu.
Sugbo Transit Bus From Cebu Airport To Downtown
Sugbo Transit Bus is leaving every hour from Cebu airport to city center at 5 am to 6 pm going to these destinations: Cebu South Bus Terminal. Fuente Osmena (Robinson’s Fuente), Robinson’s Galleria, Cebu North Bus Terminal, Pacific Mall Mandaue, Island City Mactan, Mactan Airport.
The Sugbo Transit Bus fare from Cebu airport to downtown is 50 PHP. The travel time by Sugbo Transit Bus from Cebu airport to city center is around 1 hour and 15 minutes.
In my opinion My Bus bus is a good option if you are headed to that direction in SM Cebu and you aren’t bringing so much luggage. And Sugbo Transit Bus is perfect if you are headed to North Bus or South Bus Terminal.
By Jeepney From Cebu Airport to Cebu City Center
You can go even cheaper if you decide to use public transportation like jeepneys and multicab but it will take longer. I did by it my first time visiting Cebu with my backpack solo travel from Cebu airport to downtown.
You can combine a few jeepneys and multicab. You just need to reach the first one walking passing by the bus and taxis from the Arrival Terminal. And once you get the first multicab which is around 12 PHP each transportation ask the driver or locals where to get next one and next one.
This is the way I did by myself first time in Cebu since I was bringing just a backpack. But to be honest the bus fare from Cebu airport to downtown is only 50 PHP. So finally you will be able to save 15-20 PHP depending on your final destination and how many jeepneys you need to get and it will take much longer.
Airport Transfers From Cebu Airport To City Center
If you prefer the most comfortable way by airport transfer from Mactan Cebu airport to downtown. It will be great if you are traveling in a group, after a long flight or with too much luggage. It will not be the cheapest option but you will avoid the hassle for an affordable price of around 500-600 PHP just $10 USD.
Best Way From Mactan Cebu Airport to City Center
The best way from Mactan Cebu Airport to city center is by My Bus or Sugbo Transit Bus if you are on a budget or traveling alone. Unless you want to have local experience just go for the multicab and jeepneys if you dont have so much luggage.
If you are traveling with someone else the best way from Cebu airport to downtown is by Grab or shared transfer. You will get until your accommodation faster and so comfortable. Also if you want to connect with ferry to go to Bohol or North and South Bus Terminal Grab is our favorite one.
