The cheapest way from Reykjavik Airport to City Center is by bus. There is a Bus Stop outside the airport and you have to walk (check the sign with Bus Number 55) to get Bus Number 55 driving the route from Keflavik Airport to Reykjavik.

From Reykjavik airport to downtown by bus you will take more than 1 hour to the final destination: BSI Umferðarmiðstöðin. One way ticket cost 1680 ISK which is €11 per person. The buses are running every hour and make sure is passing by near your hotel or Airbnb.

If you are on a budget you can consider this option as the cheapest. But take note that there aren’t many buses running during the day. The first bus starts at 6 35 am and last one at 10 55 pm.

Shared Transfers From Reykjavik Airport To City Center

Most of the tourists choose shared transfers from Keflavik Airport to Reykjavik. It’s cheaper than the taxi but more expensive than the Public Bus Number 55.
