HOW TO GET FROM CAIRO AIRPORT TO THE PYRAMIDS
BY AIRPORT BUS FROM CAIRO AIRPORT TO PYRAMIDS (CHEAPEST WAY)
The cheapest way from Cairo Airport to Gyza Pyramids is by bus. The Airport Bus from Cairo airport to downtown is running every 30 minutes starting from 7 50 am until 6 15 pm.
The bus fare from Cairo airport to Gyza Pyramids is 5 EGP which less than $1 USD one-way ticket and you pay to the bus driver just make sure you have small bills and local currency. The total travel time from Cairo airport to Ramses Railway Station is around 50 minutes and can be longer depending on the traffic.
There are two buses going from Cairo Airport to Gyza Piramids Bus Number 111 to Shoubra and Bus Number 381 to Imbaba. Both of them are stopping at Ramses Railway Station where you can go walking, taking a bus, metro or a taxi depending on your final destination in the city.
You can get the metro Sadat Metro Line 2 to Sadaki Mekki. It will take 15 minutes and the metro fare is $1 USD. Once in Sadaki Mekki Metro Station you can get a taxi for $3 USD to the pyramids and 10 minutes travel time. Or you can take a public bus for less than $1 USD and it will take around 20-30 minutes.

There is no transportation from Cairo airport to Pyramids of Gyza by metro. Cairo Metro has has a subway three lines: the Blue Line M1, the Red Line M2 and Green M3 Line (it will be extended to the airport). The metro fare is around 10 EGP which is less than $1 USD to move around the city.

If you are coming from Cairo airport to pyramids I will not get complicated and I would book a private transfer or a taxi from the airport especially if you are traveling with 2-3 people prices are so cheap around $5-6 USD.
If you are on a budget you can get a bus and metro and it will cost you around $2 USD from Cairo Airport to Gyza.

Hmmmm. I got a sim at the hurghada airport. $10 for 55 GB. Not sure why it was such a good deal. It has been working great, I have been here a few weeks and haven’t used much. I have used 8 GB and use it quite frequently and even use my phone as a hotspot for my iPad.
