Rolling Hills, batanes itinerary Our flight landed in Batanes at around 9 am, coming from Clark, Pampanga with Philippine Airlines. Like what we said earlier, ticket price was 4000 PHP for a one-way ticket for each of us. We partnered with Amazing Batanes Tours for this trip. They picked us in the airport and they organized everything for us in the following way. We had a delicious breakfast! Had some flying fish silog cooked by Tita Lydia and we realized (OMG), the food is so good in Batanes. They explained to us how they will organize our trip and we agreed to everything because the way they organized and the plans made looked amazing for us. They also provided a guide who was explaining all the spots and everything we needed to know about Batanes. We totally recommend going to Sabtang on the second day if you are in a tight schedule for your 4 days/3 nights trip. If you have more time, consider staying overnight in Sabtang so you can feel the island vibes. It’s way better than a half-day trip where you won’t have enough time to visit all the barrios. After visiting Chavayan, we headed to more tourist spots. A highlight was Morong Beac,h where you can have your lunch. And our favorite tourist spot in our Sabtang itinerary was Duvek Bay. The landscape is so beautiful. 4th Day Itinerary

We took the first boat going back to Batan in Ivana port. It was around 6 am and the boat ride was a little bit tough but still fine. It took 30 minutes and it cost us 100 PHP. As we still had enough time, we relaxed on this day eating, resting, and also visiting a few tourist spots included in South tour that we missed during the second day. We also visited some few spots that we didn’t stop by on the earlier days of our trip. It’s great to have a resting day so you can go on your own to other places like the Lighthouse or Rolling Hills for sunset if you like it. You should also try walking around Abad street and of course, try Ivatan cuisine!

5th Day Itinerary

batanes itinerary, batanes travel itinerary, Transportation around Batanes, Batanes tourist spots, atms in batanes, wifi connection in batanes, how to go to Batanes, Nakamaya Burial site We took an off-the-beaten path tour in Batanes. It was great to do it and we learned a lot from our experiences. Our first stop after breakfast was the Burial site. You have to hike for around 10 minutes to reach this point from the main road. You have to go with a local guide. Otherwise, it will be almost impossible for you to find it. batanes itinerary, batanes travel itinerary, Transportation around Batanes, Batanes tourist spots, atms in batanes, wifi connection in batanes, how to go to Batanes, Spring of youth After the hike and listening to the explanations of our guide James, we headed to Diura Fisher Village in the South part of Batan. We visited Spring of Youth, a beautiful infinity pool with awesome views and clear water. You have to hike 10-15 minutes to reach this place and everything is worth it. You’ll experience its clean water and well-conserved spot., so please be responsible on your travels and keep your own trash. You can take your time visiting these spots for the day and if you want to explore more on your way back home, it would be great! As you finish in the afternoon, you will have more free time for walking around Basco, buying pasalubongs, and having dinner.

6th Day of itinerary

We woke up early to go back home. The flight was leaving at 9 am from Basco to Clark with Philippine Airlines. We had our last breakfast in our favorite dining place in Batanes: Hiro’s Café. We said goodbye to Mrs. Lydia and said thank you for all the nice meals she cooked for us. Rachel and I will treasure her advice about traveling in Batanes and all the laughs that we shared together. We hope to meet you soon!

Recommended Batanes itinerary?

We recommend you to have a minimum of 3 nights in staying in Batanes to see the main tourist spots and at least make sure to visit Sabtang island. If you have more time, I would say a week in Batanes would be great so you can visit both Itbayat and Sabtang. You can also choose the option of hiking Mt. Iraya or visiting Vuhos island for more off-the-beaten path in Batanes.

4 days/3 Nights Batanes Itinerary

1st Day Batanes Travel itinerary: North Tour

batanes itinerary, batanes travel itinerary, Rolling Hills, sunset at Rolling Hills, Transportation around Batanes, Batanes tourist spots, atms in batanes, wifi connection in batanes, how to go to Batanes, Rolling Hills As your flight probably will land in Batanes at 9 am or 11 am, the best option is doing what we did in our 1st day Batanes itinerary. Having lunch and going for North tour, visiting the main spots churches, Valugan Boulder Beach and making sure you finish in Rolling Hills for the sunset. It can be good to visit Basco lighthouse for sunset, but Rolling Hills is more fascinating.  Also, don’t forget to check Idjang viewing. After this, go for a dinner in Basco. If you didn’t organize any plan for dinner, we highly recommend you Hiro’s Cafe where Mrs. Lydia will cook the best food for you!

2nd Day Batanes Travel itinerary: Sabtang

batanes itinerary, batanes travel itinerary, Tynan view point, Sabtang If you will be staying just for 3 nights in Batanes, we recommend you to visit Sabtang on the 2nd day and up to you if you want to do an overnight if the weather is fine. You will have more time to visit Sabtang island than with a half-day tour because the boats leave Sabtang at 1pm-2pm. If you would have an overnight stay in Sabtang, boats leave at 6 am, so you will be ready for the next day’s South tour in Batan. We found Sabtang very interesting and we honestly think that a half-day tour is not enough. But if you would do a half-day trip in Sabtang, boats leave at 6 am and come back at 1 pm, so you will have breakfast in Basco and have your lunch before leaving Sabtang. You will also be able to visit Tynan viewpoint, Chavayan barrio with the stone houses, walking tour and have your lunch at Morong beach. If you do a whole day itinerary, you will be able to see more barrios and our favorite part, Duvek Bay in South part of Sabtang.

3rd Day Batanes travel Itinerary: South Tour

Marlboro country, batanes itinerary, batanes travel itinerary The best option is to do South tour in Batan island. You will have enough time during the day to visit the main points such as Marlboro Hills and Tayid Lighthouse. Also, you can visit Honesty coffee shop for a coffee break, check the stone houses and churches around the area. If you have time, you can still go for sunset to Basco lighthouse or Rolling Hills before dinner since it’s too beautiful to be missed. Another option is to walk around Basco town to grab some coffee, snacks or buy pasalubong before dinner.

4th Day Batanes Travel Itinerary

For your 4th day, make your last breakfast in Basco special by choosing your favorite place and food. Be ready for your flight as they usually leave at 9 am and 11 am. So, make sure you wake up early morning to catch your flight! How did you like our Batanes itinerary? Are you excited to visit Batanes, Philippines?
