HOW TO GET FROM BUTUAN TO SIARGAO

BUS PLUS FERRY FROM BUTUAN TO SIARGAO

If you want to get from Butuan to Siargao via Surigao. There are buses leaving every 1-2 hours from Butuan to Surigao. The fare FROM Butuan to Surigao will be around 210-250 PHP (depending regular bus or with air condition). And it will take less than 3 hours of travel time.

BUTUAN TO SURIGAO BY VAN

If you want to get from Butuan to Surigao by van. There are also a few daily vans. The travel time Butuan to Surigao by van is around two hours or 2 hours and a half. The price of the van is around 250 PHP.

The vans are leaving in front of the Bus Terminal in the market. They leave every 1-2 hours when they are full.

BUTUAN AIRPORT TO SURIGAO CITY

If you want to get from Butuan airport to Surigao City. There are vans in the airport that will take you to Surigao. The travel time from Butuan Airport to Surigao will be around 3 hours by van. It will cost 250 PHP per person to get to Gaisano Terminal.

SURIGAO BUS TERMINAL (GAISANO TERMINAL) TO FERRY TERMINAL (MACAPAGAL PORT)

Once in Surigao City Bus Terminal you have to ride a jeepney or a tricycle going to Macapagal Port. It’s only 4 kilometers away. Once in the port you have to ride a ferry going to Siargao Island.

There are multicabs going from Gaisano Terminal to Macapagal Port. Fare for the multicab is 10 PHP per person. If you go by tricycle the fare can be 100-150 PHP and it can fit 3-4 people. It will take only 10-15 minutes from the Bus Terminal to Surigao Ferry Terminal.

There are available ferry rides daily from Surigao City to Siargao Island. There are two choices for ferry the fast boats and the slower boats. Fast Boats is either a multi-level steel vessels of single level large bancas. Duration time would be four hours, fare would be around $10 USD in 2023. You can book online!

GETTING TO GENERAL LUNA FROM DAPA PORT IN SIARGAO

Just walk outside to the terminal where you will find tricycles. You can share a tricycle 40 PHP each. The travel time from Dapa to General Luna is 30 minutes.

If you prefer a private tricycle will cost you 200-300 PHP from Dapa to General Luna.
