How to get From Cebu to Siargao

CEBU TO SIARGAO BY PLANE

If you want to get from Cebu to Siargao by plane. There are a few daily direct flights from Cebu to Siargao with Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines to Sayak Airport.

The travel time Cebu to Siargao by plane is 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes. Prices are around 1500-3000 PHP for one way.

By Plane From Manila to Siargao

 If you want to get from Manila to Siargao by plane. There are domestic flights but only Skyjet and Cebu Pacific fly direct from Manila and the flight will take around 2 hours.

By Plane From Clark to Siargao

If you want to get from Clark to Siargao by plane. There are flights from Clark (lucky us that we are based in Angeles City) to Siargao with Philippine Airlines. The airport is located in Barangay Del Carmen, where most tourist attraction are located.

So if you are going to Siargao Island from outside the Philippines you will have to get to Cebu, Manila or Clark. From there you have to take another flight to Siargao.

How to get from Siargao Airport to General Luna

Prices for a tricycle going to General Luna from the airport are around 400 PHP and it’s good enough for 2-3 people.

There are also vans available for 300 PHP per person going from the airport to General Luna where are the most of the accommodations in Siargao.

By Ferry From Cebu to Siargao

There are no direct ferries from Cebu to Siargao. First of all you have to get from Cebu to Surigao. There is one daily flight at 1 30 pm getting to Surigao at 2 30 pm with Cebu Pacific. Prices are around $40-60 USD per one-way.

If you prefer by ferry from 10 am to 7 pm get to Surigao. It will cost you $21 USD you can book online. It will be 9 hours ferry.

Cebu to Siargao Ferry Via Surigao

Ferry Schedule From Surigao to Siargao

There are available ferry rides daily from Surigao City to Siargao Island. There are two choices for ferry the fast boats and the slower boats. Fast Boats is either a multi-level steel vessels of single level large bancas. Duration time would be four hours, fare would be around $10 USD you can book online.

The schedule going to Siargao usually is from Surigao is from 5 am to 1 pm. There are a few ferries of different companies. Departures start at 5 am, 8 am a few of them between 10 to 1pm which is the last ferry going from Surigao City to Siargao Island. And boats are leaving Siargao from 5 to 6 am.

The boats are leaving from Dapa port which is 30 minutes driving from General Luna around 20 kilometers.

From Dapa Terminal to General Luna

Just walk outside to the terminal where you will find tricycles. You can share a tricycle 40-50 PHP each. The travel time from Dapa to General Luna is 30-40 minutes.

You can also negotiate a tricycle for 200-300 PHP going from Dapa Terminal to your accommodation in General Luna.

TRANSPORTATION AROUND SIARGAO

There are a lot of transportation in the island available for your disposal. At the Airport you can rent vans going to your hotel. You can rent motorcycles and habal-habal. If you want to experience all about the nature of the Island it is a must to ride the Habal-Habal. To move around Sairgao the most convenient is renting a motorbike for 400 PHP per day.

The roads are fine to ride around the island. If you prefer going by tricycle there are shared tricycle in Dapa and General Luna terminal. Prices are 40 PHP per person. If you are renting a tricycle for a day tour prices can go to 1200-1500 PHP. If you are planning to rent a multicab prices are around 3000 PHP per day and you can accommodate a few people.

WHERE TO STAY IN SIARGAO ISLAND

This property is 1 minute walk from the beach. Located in General Luna, Aloha Hostel Siargao has barbecue facilities. Featuring a tour desk, this property also provides guests with a restaurant. Free WiFi is included. Guests at the hostel will be able to enjoy activities in and around General Luna, like cycling.
