ALCOHOLIC DRINKS IN ECUADOR
1. ROMPOPE
Rum or brandy, milk, sweetener, and eggs are all used to make Rompope. Nuts, vanilla essence, nutmeg, or cinnamon are some of the common additives. Rompope is also widely use it as a fruit or ice cream decoration in desserts.
2. PINOL
Pinol is Ecuador’s popular beverage, prepare with ground toast barley flour, unrefined sugar, spice, and milk. Rafael Emilio Madrid of Salcedo, came up with the idea after observing employees suck on panela. Pinol was first produced in the 1950s at the Madrid family’s plant in San Rafael, Ecuador.
3. CHICHA MORADA
Chicha morada is an Ecuadorian drink that originates in the mountain areas but is now widely drunk throughout the country. Corn culli, also known as purple maize, is the main ingredient in the drink. Chicha morada has a delicious, not-too-sweet flavor that reminds me of mulled wine and melting grape popsicles.
4. COLADA MORADA
Colada morada is an Ecuadorian beverage that is rich and purple in hue. Its beginnings can be traced back to pre-Hispanic times. Water, black maize flour, seasonings, fruits, and sugar cane are used to make the colada morada.
5. CHICHA DE PIÑA
Chicha de piña is a pineapple base variant of chicha. It’s a bubbly, pleasant beverage that’s popular in several Latin Countries. Chicha de piña is generally fermented, but can also be boiled and consumed right away.

Pisco is an alcoholic liquor created from fermented grape juice. It was developed as a replacement for orujo in the 16th century. Pisco can indeed be consumed straight, but it’s most commonly found in cocktails, the most popular of which is the famous Pisco Sour.

10. CANELAZO
Canelazo is a hot drink in Ecuador. Canelazo is made of water with sugar cane, cinnamon, lime juice, and cloves and you can add aguardiente (optional to do it).
11. FRUIT JUICES IN ECUADOR
It would help if you tried fruit juices in Ecuador. You will find them everywhere as street food. Depending on the flavors, prices are around $2-3 USD for a small glass.

13. COCONUT WATER
Coconut water is a must to try in Ecuador. You will see street vendors at the beach passing by with coconut water and when you are under the sun is so refreshing plus so healthy.
14. ECUADORIAN COFFEE
Ecuadorian Coffee is really good. Ecuadorian most popular coffee is Arabica coffee in the Western foothills of the Andes South of Guayaquil.
