BEST TIME TO VISIT SIARGAO
Swimming, surfing and diving will be the reason why you want to visit the Island of Siargao. As a responsible traveler you must check every little detail while visiting certain places. The Philippines has only two season and this is the wet and dry season.
The best time to visit Siargao is during the dry season which falls on the months of February-April. This is the best time for you. You’ll be able to enjoy all you itinerary without worrying if it would be raining. All the activities in the Island involve swimming, surfing, diving and trekking.

HOW TO GET FROM DAVAO TO SIARGAO BY FLIGHT
If you want to get from Davao to Siargao. There are a few daily direct flights from Davao to Siargao with Philippine Airlines. Prices of the flights are starting from 2000-4000 PHP. The travel time from Davao to Siargao flight is 1 hour and 15 minutes.

FROM SIARGAO AIRPORT TO GENERAL LUNA
Prices for a tricycle going to General Luna are 400 PHP and it’s good enough for 2-3 people. There are also vans available for 300 PHP per person going to General Luna where are most of the accommodations in Siargao.

HOW TO GET FROM DAVAO TO SIARGAO BY LAND (VIA BUS TO SURIGAO AND FERRY)
If you want to get from Davao to Surigao by land. There are buses going from Davao to Surigao. It will take 10-12 hours by bus from Davao to Surigao passing by Butuan. The distance from Davao to Surigao is 420 kilometers.
Regular buses from Davao to Surigao fare is 600 PHP and it will take 11-12 hours. Air condition buses fare is 750 PHP and it will take 9-10 hours.
SURIGAO BUS TERMINAL TO FERRY TERMINAL
Once in Surigao City Bus Terminal you have to ride a jeepney or a tricycle going to the Ferry Terminal. It’s only 4 kilometers away. There are multicabs for 10 PHP and tricycle charges 150-200 PHP good enough for 3-4 people.
Once in the port you have to ride a ferry going to Siargao Island.
FERRY SCHEDULE SURIGAO TO SIARGAO
There are available ferry rides daily from Surigao City to Siargao Island. There are two choices for ferry the fast boats and the slower boats. Fast Boats is either multi-level steel vessels of single level large bancas. Duration time would be four hours, fare would be around 400-450 PHP ($9) in 2023. You can book online!

Dapa (Siargao Island) to Surigao City – 6 AM and 1 PM Daily
Surigao City to Dapa (Siargao) – 10 AM and 3:30 PM Daily
Price 300 PHP Economy Class and Travel time 1 hour and a half.
This is the best option since you will get spend less time traveling!

Dapa (Siargao Island) to Surigao City – 4:30 AM and 11:30 AM Daily
Surigao City to Dapa (Siargao) – 6 AM and 10:30 AM Daily

Dapa (Siargao Island) to Surigao City – 5 AM and 11 AM Daily
Surigao City to Dapa (Siargao) – 6 AM and 10:30 AM Daily
Prices are 288 PHP travel time 4 hours.
The schedule going to Siargao usually is from Surigao is from 5 am to 1 pm. There are a few ferries of different companies. All of them are getting to Dapa Port in Siargao. From Fast Ferry, slow ferry to RoRo.
The total travel time Davao to Siargao by land is around 16 hours since you will have to wait in Surigao to catch the ferry to Dapa Port in Siargao. It will take 10-12 hours by bus. And around 4 hours more the ferry going to Siargao including the waiting time.
It will cost you around 1000-1200 PHP for the trip from Davao to Siargao Island overland. If you decide to flight expect to pay one way from 2000-4000 PHP. It depends on your comfort and budget.
GETTING TO GENERAL LUNA FROM DAPA PORT IN SIARGAO
Just walk outside to the terminal where you will find tricycles. You can share a tricycle 40 PHP each. The travel time from Dapa to General Luna is 30 minutes.
If you prefer a private tricycle will cost you 200-300 PHP from Dapa to General Luna.

NAY PALAD SIARGAO
Located in General Luna in the Siargao Island Region, Nay Palad Resort offers luxurious accommodations equipped with an outdoor pool and a children’s playground. Rooms has terrace with either sea or garden views, the accommodations feature seating areas and an iPad in each room for guests’ convenience.
