Bus 783 From Bucharest Airport To City Center

You can go by public bus from Bucharest airport to city center. The Bus Number 783 is available 24/7 running every 15 minutes. You have to buy the ticket in the machine at the airport or kiosks (bus stops) and you can’t buy inside the bus.

Bus Route: Henri Coanda Airport – Otopeni Town – ICSITMUA – Meteorological Institute – Baneasa Airport – Piata Presei Libere – Arcul de Triumf – Piata Victoriei – Piata Romana – Piata Universitatii – Piata Unirii.
Bus Number 780
The Bus Number 780 is running every 30 minutes from the airport and it’s heading to the North part of Bucharest. The bus fare is €0.85 and it’s going to North Train Station (Gara de Nord). TRAIN FROM BUCHAREST AIRPORT TO GARE DE NORD
Since 2020 there is a new train going from Bucharest airport to Gare de Nord (I will be updating information soon). The train is the best way from Bucharest airport to Gare de Nord. You will have to walk a few minutes outside the airport and later you can go walking distance from Gare de Nord to city center, taxi or by bus depending on your final destination. The train fare is less than €2 per person.
TAXI FROM BUCHAREST AIRPORT TO BUCHAREST CITY CENTER
If you go from Bucharest Airport to Bucharest city center by taxi the most comfortable, available 24/7 and fastest way. The travel time by taxi is around 20-30 minutes and the taxi fare from Henri Coandă International Airport to city center is around €15-20. The prices and travel time aren’t fixed and it will depending on traffic and your final destination.
PRIVATE TRANSPORTATION FROM BUCHAREST AIRPORT TO DOWNTOWN
Hotel transfers are also very easy and convenient but can be a little bit pricey. There is direct train between City Gare De Nord and OTP airport. It’s the most convenient and cost efficient way to go between city and airport. It cost less than $2 per person. It’s only a short walk between station and airport terminals. Don’t go taxi from airport as they are not truthful.
