Hotel Belvedere is one of the most instagrammable places in Switzerland. It was built in 1882 and in 1907 had 90 beds. Hotel Belvedere is also popular because of the James Bond movies and it’s located in the scenery road at Furka Pass. Nowadays isn’t opened anymore but you can park in front of the hotel to takes pictures and admire the beauty of the landscape.
2. Passwang Pass
Passwang Pass is 1,204 meters high located in the Jura Mountains in the canton of Solothurn in Switzerland. You can have beautiful pictures of the landscape on the way to Basel from Bern or Zurich. We totally recommend you as one of the Instagrammable spots Switzerland that you can’t miss it.
3. LAKE ZUG
Lake Zug is on the way from Lucerne to Zurich around 45 minutes driving you will get there. You can swim in summer and enjoying a picnic in these blue waters with the green landscape. If you want to get nice pictures you can go for a hike or drive your car to the top to get the panoramic views of Lake Zug.
4. Aare Gorge Walk
Aare Gorge Canyon is a beautiful walk near Interlaken. You can go by car or by train for a day trip. The walk is 1.5 kilometers and it can take around 30-40 minutes. Aare Gorge is opened from mid April until the end of October daily from 8 30 am until 630 pm. They also have a special evening illumination until 10 pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday in July and August. Aare Gorge entrance fee is 8.50 CHF for adults and 5 CHF for children older than six years old.
Aescher is one of the most instagrammable places in Switzerland. Aescher is a 170-year-old Swiss guesthouse built into the side of a mountain. You can get to Aescher hiking from Wasserauen. It will take 3 hours and it’s around 7 kilometers the hike. Aescher isn’t working anymore as a guesthouse. It’s a restaurant where you can enjoy Swiss gastronomy or stop for a coffee and enjoy the views. The area is close to Liechtenstein and there are many hikes that you can do.

Lake Brienz is only 30 minutes driving from Interlaken and it was one of my favorite places to visit in my Switzerland road trip. I could spend a beautiful sunrise and I stayed with my van almost getting the views to the lake. You can swim and doing a few activities like kayaking in the lake. Most of the people are walking around and cycling.
10. Grimsel Pass
Grimsel Pass have a beautiful landscape and the road was so beautiful and picturesque. Totally worth it to spend the morning around this area on the way to Interlaken.
Lugano is the largest town in southern Switzerland in the Italian speaking canton of Ticino near the border with Italy. It’s a magical place with beautiful mountains around and great vibe at night. You can visit Lake Como as a day trip if you are staying in Lugano.

You can go by car from Interlaken until 10 kilometers before getting to Zermatt where you will have to park your car in a parking. From there you can get taxi, bus or train to reach Zermatt town. There are many hikes to do in the area and some of them you will have to get there by funicular.
13. LUCERNE DOWNTOWN
Lucerne is another of the cities that you have to visit in Switzerland. From walking around the Chapel Bridge to the popular Lion Monument. You can also swim in the lake or taking a boat. There are many options for museums and restaurants if you want to enjoy at night and during the day.

Bern is the capital and my favorite city in Switzerland. It’s small to walk around the bridges and the rivers. I also hiked Gurten for an hour to get the views of the city. You can also reach the top by funicular to the top and there are many activities if you are traveling with kids in Gurten Park.

Zurich downtown will be worth it to visit if you are interested in restaurants, museums and sightseeing. Zurich isn’t really big to walk around the lake and later to explore city center. Zurich can be a starting point for day trips to the mountains just 1-2 hours driving distance.
17. LAUSANNE VINEYARDS
I loved Vineyard Terraces just right after Lausanne where you can get beautiful views of the Lake and the vineyards. If you wish trying local wine or buying you will find a lot of shops for this. Also it’s worth it to walk around Lausanne city center since is so small and nice place to visit.

18. The Jet d’Eau of Geneva
The Jet d’Eau of Geneva is the most popular in the list of Geneva tourist spots. When you will go to Geneva Lake you will see anytime this big fountain that is the symbol in the city of Geneva. You can go for a walk in the city since it’s not really big and you can see around in a couple of hours.

Chateau de Chillon a fortress with great views from 14th Century before getting to Montreux a resort destination with the views to the Lake so beautiful. Chateau de Chillon entrance fee €11 and you can visit until 6 pm.
Thun is a beautiful small town less than one hour driving from Bern perfect for taking pictures and walking around. Half of the way between Interlaken and Brienz the other extreme of the lake. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in Thun city center and it’s so peaceful for enjoying the sunset swimming. You can also swim and doing activities in the lake.
