Pagudpud is a quiet town with a few places to stay. There are bars and restaurants to enjoy nightlife and the beaches and sunsets are amazing! Beautiful places like Bangui windmills and other Pagudpud tourist spots.

The middle-year months have very comfortable weather with high temperatures that are quite warm. June – August is fairly slow season for tourism in Pagudpud, so lodging and other accommodations may cost slightly less. If you’re looking for the warmest your best time to visit Pagudpud, the hottest months are May, April, and then June.

How to get from Laoag to Pagudpud

How to get from Laoag to Pagudpud by Bus

From Laoag to Pagudpud there are buses serving Laoag to Pagudpud bus fare is 120 PHP depending where are you stopping. The travel time Laoag to Pagudpud will take around 1 hour and a half to 2 hours. It depends on the stops that the bus makes.

Laoag to Pagudpud Bus Schedule

Laoag to Pagudpud bus schedule is every 2-3 hours during the day. It depends on the season. You can always check Claveria Van Station close to the Bus Terminal if the bus take so long.

How to get from Laoag to Pagudpud by Van

If you want to get from Laoag to Pagudpud by van will be the fastest way. You have to go to Claveria Van Terminal. It’s very close to city center and Farinas Bus Terminal. You can go walking distance.

Based in our experience the first van is leaving at 5 15 am maybe sooner if it gets full. The vans will be running during the day when getting full every 1-2 hours.

The van fare from Laoag to Pagupud is around 150 PHP depending where is your final stop in Pagudpud. Laoag to Pagudpud travel time will be around 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Tell the driver in advance where are you going. So he will make sure that he stops close to a tricycle terminal. You will get a 10 minutes tricycle if you are going to Saud Beach. The price of the tricycle can be between 70-100 PHP.

Laoag Airport to Pagudpud

If you are coming from Laoag airport to Pagudpud. You will have to ride a tricycle from Laoag airport to Laoag city. It will cost around 200 PHP and the travel time from Laoag airport to Laoag city can be around 20 minutes.

Once in Laoag you can decide if you prefer to go by van faster and less comfortable. Or by bus little bit slower but more comfortable. Prices are similar from 120-150 PHP.

Laoag to Pagudpud by Car

From Laoag to Pagudpud there are 77 kilometers distance. You can drive this distance in 1 hour and 30 minutes. If you go by car you can stop before getting to Pagudpud to take pictures. There are rice fields and views to the beach that they are so beautiful. We did these stops first time that we went Laoag to Pagudpud hitchhiking.

Especially beautiful to check Bangui windmills. A beautiful beach on the way to Pagudpud where you can see the windmills.

TRANSPORTATION AROUND PAGUDPUD

Just like other provinces in the Philippines, Pagudpud has tricycles for short trips or to go around the area. You can also rent tricycles if you want to have a DIY tour, although this is only advisable for 2-3 people only since tricycles are quite small.

Prices for tricycles are from 60-100 PHP around Pagudpud. If you want to hire them for a day tour prices are 600 PHP for North day tour and 900 PHP for a South day tour.

DAY TOUR IN PAGUDPUD

If you want to explore Pagudpud there are a few options. You can rent a motorbike for 400-500 PHP per day for a day tour in Pagudpud. You can also rent tricycles for a day tour 2-3 people maximum. Prices for a day tour in the North are 600 PHP and 900 PHP for South. If you do both day tours in the same day it costs 1300 PHP.

NORTH DAY TOUR IN PAGUDPUD

If you go by tricycle prices for a day tour in North part are 600 PHP and they will include these spots: Kabigan Falls, Patapat Viaduct, Timangtang Rock, Bantay Abot Cove, Blue Lagoon and Dos Hermanos Island. You can also try the zip line after Bantay Abot Cove and before going to Blue Lagoon.

SOUTH DAY TOUR IN PAGUDPUD

If you go by tricycle for a day tour around Pagudpud the price is 900 PHP and they will include these spots: Bangui windmills, view point Bangui windmills, Kapurpurawan Rock formations and Burgos Lighthouse.

For last 2 spots you will have to get a tricycle from Burgos (Pagudpud tricycle drivers aren’t allowed to drive you around) and your driver will wait for you. The price for last two activities are 300 PHP and they will discount from the cost of the tour 900 PHP.

You have to pay 10 PHP entrance fee before Kapurpurawan Rock formations and 20 PHP entrance fee for the lighthouse in Burgos if you access there!

WHERE TO STAY IN PAGUDPUD

There a lot of options when it comes to accommodations in Pagudpud. There are cheap hotels, mid-range ones and luxury resorts that you can choose from. There are resorts with amazing views as well as amazing amenities.

We chose two options where to sleep in Pagudpud: Evangeline Beach Resort in Saud Beach and Kingfisher which is a lonely place perfect for relaxing and water activities in Pagudpud.

PAGUDPUD RINNOVATI

Pagudpud Rinnovati features a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Free WiFi is available. At the resort, the rooms are equipped with a desk.

The private bathroom is equipped with a bath and free toiletries. All rooms include a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. An Asian breakfast is available daily at the accommodation. Room rate starts at 1500 PHP.

We had an amazing staying at Evangeline Beach Resort Our room was big enough for the three of us with all the comfort that we needed like hot water, fridge and yes good wifi connection. There is a pool area which was perfect for us since we were traveling with our little one 6 years old.

Just one minute walking distance from Saud beach and their restaurant with seaview. The food was delicious and all the staff was super friendly and helpful with us!

KINGFISHER RESORT IN PAGUDPUD

Kingfisher is a few kilometers far from Saud Beach. It’s located in the windest part of Asia so you will have the best opportunities if you like surfing and other watersports. Also great place for relaxing in the area with the hammocks. It’s quiet and ideal for disconnecting of the real world.

ALTA VISTA ILOCANDIA INC.

Located in Ar-aro-o, Alta Vista Ilocandia Inc. Features a garden and a terrace. Featuring a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with a restaurant. Guests can have a drink at the bar. A continental breakfast is available daily at the property. Room rate starts at 1,940 PHP a night.

BUENA VISTA BEACH RESORT

Buena Vista Beach Resort is located in Pagudpud. There’s a fully equipped private bathroom with bath and free toiletries. A continental, American or Asian breakfast is served at the property.
