Pagudpud is Ruben’s favorite places to visit in the Philippines because there are almost no tourists around the area comparing with other destinations like El Nido and Siargao. We will tell you step by step how to get to Pagudpud from Manila, Clark and Tuguegarao. We already wrote all the things to do in Pagudpud.

Pagudpud is a quiet town with a few places to stay. There are bars and restaurants to enjoy nightlife and the beaches and sunsets are amazing!

Best time to visit Pagudpud

If you’re looking for the warmest your best time to visit Pagudpud, the hottest months are April, May and June. From December to March you will have dry season. The rainy season will be from July to October.

How to get to Pagudpud

How to get to Pagudpud by Plane

If you want to get Pagudpud by plane is the fastest way. Since there is no airport in Pagudpud. You will have to book a flight from Manila to Laoag. Other alternative is booking a flight from Clark or Manila to Tuguegarao airport. This alternative would be great if you want to visit Tuguegarao, otherwise will take much longer than from Laoag to Pagudpud.

There are two daily flights Manila to Laoag via Philippines Airlines. You will land in Laoag International Airport. From Laoag airport you have to get to city center where you can then ride a bus or a van going to Pagudpud with the travel time of 2 hours and it costs 100 PHP. How to get to Pagudpud from Manila

You can ride a direct bus to Pagudpud via G.V Florida Transport and it costs from 750 PHP to 950 PHP. Travel time is about 10 hours. It is best if you want to enjoy the scenery along the way. G.V Florida bus offers sleeper bus for a more comfortable trip and you will get ready in the morning to explore Pagudpud.

How to get to Pagudpud to Tuguegarao

If you’re coming from Tuguegarao, buses like GMW Liner and Florida Liner have buses bound to Laoag, Vigan or Abra that pass through Pagudpud. Just tell the driver to drop you off in Pagudpud. Fare costs no more than 450 PHP from Tuguegarao and 5 hours trip.

How to get to Pagudpud from Clark

If you are going to Pagudpud coming from Pampanga. You can ride a jeepney going to Dau Bus Terminal in Angeles City. In Dau Terminal, you can look for buses going to Laoag running at night time. This is the option that we chose. We took the bus at 9 pm and we reached Laog at 4 am. There are a few buses during the night. The price is 740 PHP per person depending on the bus company.

From Laoag, there are vans and buses serving Laoag-Pagudpud route 100-120 PHP depending where are you stopping. The vans start at 5 15 am. You can also take the buses bound to Cagayan that pass through Pagudpud.

How to get to Pagudpud from Baguio

If you want to get Pagudpud coming from Baguio. You have to ride a bus to Laoag first since there is no bus going to Pagudpud from Baguio. Partas Bus has buses going to Pagudpud. Fare costs 499 PHP one way. From Laoag to Pagudpud you will have to take a mini bus, or catch the big buses coming from Manila. The most popular big bus is FLORIDA. Trip is 2 hours, and fare is 100 PHP.

Transportation Around Pagudpud

There are tricycles for short trips or to go around the area 50-100 PHP to reach bus stop. You can also rent tricycles if you want to have a DIY tour, although this is only advisable for 2-3 people only since tricycles are quite small. Prices for tricycles are from 60-100 PHP around Pagudpud. If you want to hire them for a day tour prices are 600 PHP for North day tour and 900 PHP for a South day tour.

Where to Stay in Pagudpud

For accommodation a budget room would cost minimum 1000 PHP ($20 USD) and you can go up to 5000 PHP if you wish more comfort in Pagudpud.
