Lotus Pond Kaohsiung is a beautiful place that you can’t miss. Lotus Lake Kaohsiung is 6 kilometers far from city center. The lake looks so beautiful and Dragon and Tiger Pagodas are unbelievable.

How to get to the Lotus Pond Kaohsiung
How to get to the Lotus Pond (Dragon and Tiger Pagodas) Easiest Way
If you want to get to the Lotus Pond from Kaohsiung city center easiest way. You can go by taxi prices are affordable and you can pay around $6-8 USD. It will take you 15-20 minutes to get there. This option is great if you are traveling 3-4 people since you will share the expenses.

How to get to the Lotus Lake Kaohsiung by MRT
If you want to get to the Lotus Lake by train. You can take the train to Zuoying Station. The MRT costs around $20-25 TWD depending on how far you are coming from. The train passes every 5 minutes and it’s well indicated. From Zuoying Station you can go walking heading to the lake and after 2 minutes walking you will spot the lake.

You can also get a bus from the MRT. If you don’t feel walking in the right side of the MRT station and it will stop two minutes walking distance from Tiger and Dragon pagodas.

Best Time to visit Lotus Pond
The best time to visit the Lotus Pond is at sunset time. You will see Dragon and Tiger pagodas during the day and later at night with the lights which is so beautiful.
Lotus Pond is crowded so if you can avoid weekends and going during weekdays you will get better experience for sure.

Dragon and Tiger Pagodas
You will find the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas together on the right side. These are seven floors level each of them. You will go inside the mouth and it’s very colorful and picturesque. You can see our shots with the drone!
There is no entrance fee for the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas. You can go to the top and see the views of the Lotus Lake Kaohsiung. It’s so beautiful!
Opposite Dragon and Tiger pagodas you will find a Taoist temple that’s worth it to take a look.
The best time for visiting is at sunset as we mentioned before. To see them with day light and with night lights. We didn’t find so busy!

Spring and Autumn Pavilions

Just a few steps on the left side of Dragon and Tiger pagodas you will see the Spring and Autumn Pavilions. Both of them 4 floors level and you can walk inside them as the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas.

The staff was so friendly to welcome us in our first day in Taiwan. The room was with amazing views and with all comfort that you need. Our favorite thing about Brio Hotel? Apart from the staff, comfort of the room and amazing views. We have to say that the food is so delicious.
You can have Chinese and Western Breakfast enjoying the views of the city from their rooftop. First quality of food everything was delicious. Apart from breakfast we loved enjoying sandwiches, cakes, sweets and juices, sodas and coffees after visiting the city. They offer free snacks in the lobby anytime and it’s the perfect way to rest after having an amazing day around Kaohsiung. You don’t have enough with the snacks? Well Brio Hotel is amazing and the mini bar is also free of charge!
