Boracay one of the most popular beach getaway from Manila. Getting to Boracay from Manila will take an hour by plane or 9 hours by night ferry (the option we chose). We really liked it Boracay after the reopening and we are trying to reply all the questions that you guys ask about transportation going to Boracay schedule and prices in this blog post.

Best time to visit Boracay

There are 2 seasons in Boracay wet and dry season. The wet season starts from June to November. And the rainy season can start as early from June to October. How to get to Boracay Island

How to get to Boracay Island by Plane

If you want to get to Boracay Island by plane. There are flights going to Caticlan Airport and Kalibo airport from Manila, Cebu, Clark with Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines and a few more companies. We always use Skyscanner to get the best deals.  which is 2 hours by bus from Caticlan port.

The flight from Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport will last around one hour to reach Caticlan and Kalibo. Prices of the flights one way from Manila to Caticlan can be around 3000-4000 PHP. Prices from Manila to Kalibo can go around 2000-3000 PHP.

From Caticlan Airport to Boracay

If you want to get to Boracay from Caticlan airport. It’s really easy and fast. You have to ride a tricycle for 10 minutes and the fare is 50 PHP. Once in Caticlan port you have to ride a 15 minutes boat 75 PHP Terminal fee plus 100 PHP of enviromental fee.

If you ride the pump boat will be 25 PHP and expect to pay double for a fast boat. All these transfer will take around 30 minutes to get to Boracay Island. Once in Cagban port in Boracay a tricycle to Station 2 will take 20-30 minutes. The fare for a shared tricycle is 20 PHP and 150 PHP if it’s private the ride.

From Kalibo Airport to Boracay

If you want to get to Boracay Island from Kalibo airport. It will take 2 hours to reach Boracay from Kalibo. You can go by van or bus and it will cost around 250 PHP. There are taxis available in case you decide to have more comfort for 1000 PHP. By taxi can be great if you are traveling with a few people with luggage.

How to get to Boracay Island by Ferry

If you want to get to Boracay Island by ferry. There are ferries leaving from Batangas port. To get to Batangas port from Manila there are buses from Cubao, Pasay and Buendia. It will take around 2 hours and the fare will be around 120-150 PHP.

This could be the cheapest option to get to Boracay. A night boat from Batangas to Boracay costs 800-1000 PHP for 9 hours boat ride and dinner included. The sunrise getting Boracay Island is amazing!

Once in Boracay port to go to your hotel you can go by shared tricycle 20 PHP per person or a private tricycle 150 PHP. And it will take 20-30 minutes to reach Station 2.

How to get to Boracay from El Nido the fastest way

If you want to get to Boracay from El Nido. The fastest option is by plane from El Nido to Caticlan airport. The flight will take one hour and prices are starting from 4000-6000 PHP for one way. The only company offering direct flights from El Nido to Caticlan is Air Swift!

How to get to Boracay from El Nido cheapest way

If you want to get to Boracay from El Nido the cheapest way. Other options is going from El Nido to Puerto Princesa by van or bus. It will take you 5-6 hours to reach Puerto Princesa. Once in Puerto Princesa you have to get a plane to Kalibo or Caticlan which have cheaper prices than from El Nido to Caticlan.

The flight isn’t direct and it will do a stopover in Manila or Cebu before getting to Caticlan or Kalibo airport. If you want to save money this will be your best option to get to Boracay from Palawan.

How to get to Boracay Island from Iloilo and Bacolod

If you want to get to Boracay Island from Iloilo City You can get a bus from Tagbak Terminal to Caticlan port. It will stop at Kalibo. The whole journey to Caticlan will take around 6 hours and the price is 380 PHP.

If you are coming from Bacolod City you have to ride the Fast Boat from Bacolod to Iloilo. It will take one hour and the fare is around 270 PHP. From the port in Iloilo you will have to transfer to Tagbak Terminal to catch the bus to Caticlan.

By Ferry to Boracay Island from Tablas Island

You can go to Boracay Island via ferry from Odiogan port in Tablas Island. There is a daily ferry at 6 pm will take around 3 hours to get to Boracay. And the fare is 400 PHP.

One of our favorite was beach hopping in Boracay. Apart from White Beach and Bulabog Beach that we mentioned before. We loved it Puka Beach in the North part of the island. Diniwid Beach was so beautiful and Ilig Illigan Beach are beaches that you can’t miss in Boracay Island.

Diving and Snorkeling are activities to do in Boracay since the water is so clear and transparent. You can do snorkeling anytime in Boracay if you are bringing your mask as we always do. Also it’s great for taking underwater shots.

There are many restaurants in Boracay. All the options you will find here from local to Western food. Seafood is a must to try in Boracay. There are restaurants for all the budget since 100 PHP per meal to 500-600 PHP per dish.

Where to Stay in Boracay Island

There are many places to stay in Boracay. If you go on a budget Station 3, Station 2 and close to Bulabog Beach will find cheap hotels and hostels. Prices for a dorm can go from 500-800 PHP in Boracay. And you can find rooms for 1200-2000 PHP good enough for 2-3 people.

If you want more comfort and luxury Station 1 will be your option. Expect to pay from 3000-4000 PHP per room in Station 1 which is quieter than Station 2, 3 and Bulabog Beach.
