Lahmacun Recipe Ingredients

3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup warm water
1/4 cup olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon active dry yeast

1 medium tomato, finely chopped
1/2 red bell pepper, finely chopped
1/4 cup parsley, finely chopped
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 tablespoon red pepper paste (optional, for heat)
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup olive oil
Juice of 1 lemon

Lemon wedges
Fresh parsley or cilantro

Step By Step How to Make Lahmacun
Prepare the Dough
In a small bowl, mix the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy. In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
