The bus fare from Oaxaca airport to ADO Bus Terminal is 8 MXN which is less than $1 USD. You can pay by cash to the bus driver. The bus travel time from Oaxaca airport to ADO Bus Terminal is around 30 minutes. If you go by taxi it will be 20 minutes and around $20 USD.

VAN FROM OAXACA TO PUERTO ESCONDIDO (CHEAPEST WAY)

The cheapest way from Oaxaca airport to Puerto Escondido is by van. First you will have to get to the Van Terminal from Oaxaca airport following the steps above.

The vans are leaving every 1-2 hours from Oaxaca to Puerto Escondido during the day starting and it will take around 7 hours driving from Oaxaca to Puerto Escondido plus 1 hour from Oaxaca airport to the Van Terminal. This is the way that I took.

The van fare from Oaxaca to Puerto Escondido is $15 USD which is 250 MXN and in my opinion is the cheapest and best way from Oaxaca to Puerto Escondido if you aren’t bringing so much luggage.

It can be challenging since there is not so much space and the van will stop half of the way 20-30 minutes for a quick lunch.

ADO BUS FROM OAXACA TO PUERTO ESCONDIDO (BEST WAY)

The best way from Oaxaca to Puerto Escondido is by bus. The ADO Bus from Oaxaca to Puerto Escondido is more comfortable than the van. There are buses leaving in the morning but I would choose the night bus from Oaxaca to Puerto Escondido and you will avoid to pay one night of accommdoation.

BUS SCHEDULE FROM OAXACA TO PUERTO ESCONDIDO

The bus schedule from Oaxaca to Puerto Escondido is leaving at 8 30 am in morning and you have a few of them leaving from 9 to 11 pm.

The ADO Bus fare from Oaxaca to Puerto Escondido is $42 USD more expensive than the van and you can book online.

The travel time from Oaxaca to Puerto Escondido is around 10 hours to reach Puerto Escondido Bus Terminal plus an extra hour from Oaxaca airport.
