You will have to walk outside the airport. The bus will go to Cruce de Verón where you will have to change getting the bus coming from Higuey and going to Bavaro Bus Terminal.

The bus fare from Punta Cana airport to Bavaro Bus Terminal is 50 DOP for the bus to Cruce de Verón and 120 DOP Higuey to Bavaro Bus Terminal which is around $3 USD and you can pay by cash to the collector man at the bus.

The bus travel time from Punta Cana airport to Bavaro Bus Terminal is around 1 hour. The buses in Punta Cana are leaving outside the airport.
