The cheapest way from Baku airport to city center is by bus. There are buses leaving from Baku airport to city center available 24/7 running every 30 minutes during the day and every 1 hour at night time. The bus fare is 1.30 AZN which is less than €1 and you will have to use a Baki Kart in the Kiosks or in the airport you can get the card. It will cost you 2 AZN and it’s not refundable and you can also use for the metro and more buses in the city.
The bus travel time from Baku airport to city center is around 30-45 minutes depending on the traffic and you will have wifi on board. And remember that you have to purchase your Baki Kart to pay at the bus. The buses are leaving at the Exit of Terminal 1 at Baku airport you will see them easily.
The final stop of the bus from Baku airport to city is 28th May Metro Station where you can go walking distance to Baku Train Station (Bakı Dəmir Yolu Vağzalı) and most of the places of accommodation in city center. You can also stop after 20 minutes driving at Koroğlu Metro Station half of the way from Baku airport.
The price of Baki Kart is only 2 AZN which is €1 and it’s not refundable. You can top up to use in the public bus and metro around the city. You can always top up in the kiosks at the bus stop.
