Kabigan Falls in Pagudpud (Travel Guide)

Kabigan Falls Pagudpud is a great place for refreshing yourself after 30-40 minutes hike. You will do as part of the North day tour visiting Pagudpud tourist spots.

Pagudpud, officially the Municipality of Pagudpud, is a 4th class municipality in the province of Ilocos Norte, Philippines.  It had previously been a part of the neighboring town of Bangui where you can find the windmills.

The scenery when you go to Pagudpud is breathtaking; with its green hills, rice paddies, and grassy plains, everywhere you look is such a sight to see.

How to get to Kabigan Falls

If you want to get from Manila to Saud Beach Pagudpud. You can ride a direct bus from Manila to Pagudpud via G.V Florida Transport and it costs from 750 PHP to 950 PHP. Travel time is about 10 hours.

The best way to get to Kabigan Falls is with the North day tour in Pagudpud. If you go by tricycle prices for a day tour in North part are 600 PHP and they will include these spots: Kabigan Falls, Patapat Viaduct, Timangtang Rock, Bantay Abot Cove, Blue Lagoon and Dos Hermanos Island. You can also try the zip line after Bantay Abot Cove and before going to Blue Lagoon.

KABIGAN FALLS

To get to Kabigan Falls from the road where the tricycle will stop. You will have approximately 30-45 minute walk depending on your speed and power. Bring water and proper shoes for the hike!

A rustic trail through tropical forest leads visitors to this dramatic natural waterfall. The trek going to Kabigan Falls is mostly in a flat area so you’ll have time to enjoy the beautiful panorama. It’s an easy hike and later it can be rewarding swimming refreshing yourself in cold water.

Kabigan waterfalls in Pagudpud are 27 meters high and you will have to swim in cold water. The place isn’t crowded since is far. We stayed less than hour taking pictures and swimming since we had more spots to visit during the day.

Kabigan Falls Entrance Fee

Kabigan entrance fee is 120 PHP guide and entrance fee included for the waterfalls. It’s mandatory to hire a guide for 120 PHP to reach Kabigan Falls. Once in Kabigan falls is a nice place for relaxing and it’s not so crowded.

WHERE TO STAY IN PAGUDPUD

We chose two options where to sleep in Pagudpud: Evangeline Beach Resort in Saud Beach and Kingfisher which is a lonely place perfect for relaxing and water activities in Pagudpud.

EVANGELINE BEACH RESORT

We had an amazing staying at Evangeline Beach Resort Our room was big enough for the three of us with all the comfort that we needed like hot water, fridge and yes good wifi connection. There is a pool area which was perfect for us since we were traveling with our little one 6 years old.

Just one minute walking distance from Saud beach and their restaurant with seaview. The food was delicious and all the staff was super friendly and helpful with us!

Kingfisher is a few kilometers far from Saud Beach. It’s located in the windest part of Asia so you will have the best opportunities if you like surfing and other watersports. Also great place for relaxing in the area with the hammocks. It’s quiet and ideal for disconnecting of the real world.

PAGUDPUD RINNOVATI
