Saud Beach Pagudpud – Our Favorite Beach in the Philippines

Saud Beach Pagudpud is our favorite beach in the Philippines. It’s so quiet and peaceful plus the white sand and the colors of the water are so perfect. It’s a long journey 10 hours by bus from Manila but totally worth it.

You can read our favorite Pagudpud tourist spots. Pagudpud, officially the Municipality of Pagudpud, is a 4th class municipality in the province of Ilocos Norte, Philippines.  It had previously been a part of the neighboring town of Bangui where you can find the windmills.

The scenery when you go to Pagudpud is breathtaking; with its green hills, rice paddies, Kabigan Falls and grassy plains, everywhere you look is such a sight to see.

How to get to Saud Beach Pagudpud

If you want to get from Manila to Saud Beach Pagudpud. You can ride a direct bus from Manila to Pagudpud via G.V Florida Transport and it costs from 750 PHP to 950 PHP. Travel time is about 10 hours.

Once in Pagudpud you have to get a tricycle to Saud Beach prices are around 50-100 PHP and it will take less than 10 minutes to get there.

SAUD BEACH

The jewel in the crown of Pagudpud is Saud Beach with its renowned wonderful fine white sand. Saud Beach has cream-colored sand and cool waters, perfect for swimming and beach bumming in.

Have a relaxing day or afternoon just on the beach. The resorts in the area makes sure that the shores are clean, so it is a plus point. There is plenty of room for activities such as volleyball or throwing a Frisbee. Our favorite beach in the Philippines.

The colors are so blue, it can be little bit waivy. And the sunset is amazing from Saud beach. You will have plenty of space for swimming, walking around and taking pictures.

Saud Beach Pagudpud isn’t usually crowded since is a long beach and there aren’t many resorts around. And the sunset is amazing at Saud Beach we loved it coming here since it’s so peaceful.

Best time to visit Saud Beach Pagudpud

The best time to visit Pagudpud can be anytime from November to April in the dry season. If you can avoid holidays and weekends can be perfect. We went a few days before Christmas and Saud Beach was almost empty.

WHERE TO STAY IN PAGUDPUD

There a lot of options when it comes to accommodations around Saud Beach and also in Blue Lagoon Pagudpud. There are cheap hotels, mid-range ones and luxury resorts that you can choose from. There are resorts with amazing views as well as amazing amenities.

You can also stay around Saud Beach which was our option: Evangeline Beach Resort in Saud Beach and Kingfisher which is a lonely place perfect for relaxing and water activities in Pagudpud.

EVANGELINE BEACH RESORT

We had an amazing staying at Evangeline Beach Resort Our room was big enough for the three of us with all the comfort that we needed like hot water, fridge and yes good wifi connection. There is a pool area which was perfect for us since we were traveling with our little one 6 years old.

Just one minute walking distance from Saud beach and their restaurant with seaview. The food was delicious and all the staff was super friendly and helpful with us!

KINGFISHER RESORT IN PAGUDPUD

Kingfisher is a few kilometers far from Saud Beach. It’s located in the windest part of Asia so you will have the best opportunities if you like surfing and other watersports. Also great place for relaxing in the area with the hammocks. It’s quiet and ideal for disconnecting of the real world.

PAGUDPUD RINNOVATI

Pagudpud Rinnovati features a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Free WiFi is available. At the resort, the rooms are equipped with a desk.
