The best time to visit Port Barton is from December to May since the rain usually falls in the middle of the year. Being the rainy season in Port Barton from June to October. Port Barton is always quiet since most of the travelers go from Puerto Princesa to El Nido and Coron.

How to Get from Puerto Princesa to Port Barton

Puerto Princesa Airport to Port Barton

If you want to get from Puerto Princesa Aiport to Port Barton. It will be the easiest and fastest way to get to Port Barton. There are a few companies as Recaro and Lexxus with vans that you can book online from Puerto Princesa Airport to Port Barton.

Puerto Princesa airport to Port Barton fare is around 500 PHP. Puerto Princesa to Port Barton travel time will be 3-4 hours journey. You can get the van from the airport since a few companies will offer to you the service.

Puerto Princesa to Port Barton Van Schedule

If you go from Puerto Princesa to Port Barton by van you have to transfer to the San Jose Bus Terminal from the airport. The fare is 120-150 PHP for a tricycle ride. You can go even cheaper if you ride a jeepney. To get the jeepney you will have to walk around one kilometer to reach the main road.

If you go to the Bus Terminal the vans will be cheaper around 350-400 PHP. The van schedule from San Jose Bus Terminal Puerto Princesa to Port Barton is from 6 am to 4 pm (it can be 5 pm).

The travel time will be around 3 hours can be even less or close to 4 hours. It depends on the road especially if it’s rainy season will take longer.

If you are planning to get from Puerto Princesa to Port Barton the cheapest way by bus will be your option. There is only one bus going from Puerto Princesa to Port Barton at 9 am leaving from San Jose Bus Terminal. The bus is not air conditioned and its very local transportation. It will be a fun trip for sure!

The travel time will be around 4-5 hours and the price is 250 PHP. You will have to get the bus and jeepney in San Jose Bus Terminal.

You can also rent a motorbike from Puerto Princesa to Port Barton if you like the adventure. It will cost 500 PHP per day and it will take you around 4 hours to reach Port Barton. It will be nice if you aren’t bringing so much luggage.

If you want to have the experience going from Puerto Princesa to Port Barton by motorbike. But you have so much luggage you can ask to the van drivers to deliver to Port Barton Bus Terminal or your own guest house. It can cost you 100 PHP per backpack.

Just 5 minutes walking distance from the Van Terminal in Port Barton and also 5 minute walking distance to most of the restaurants in Port Barton.

There are a few choices for accommodation in Port Barton. All the places have the basics and expect not having electricity during the night.  You can find prices around 800 PHP per night in a dorm.
